Outdoor Research Men's Crocodiles
Bombproof These gaiters are one of my favorite pieces of gear. They are not always needed, but whenever I do need them, they do the job impeccably. Fit: The size large fits well over my La Sportiva Trango GTX boots but does not fit over my plastic ski boots. It's a bit of a bummer they don't fit over my ski boots because it would have been nice when out on the glacier in the summer to keep snow out of my boots when it is too hot out to wear pants. However, having them fit over my ski boots means… Full review
Great bang-for-your-buck glacier glasses. I used these glacier glasses daily for 45 days on an icefield expedition. Fit: They are comfortable under a helmet, beanie, or hat. These glasses run wide, so if you have a narrow face, consider trying them on before purchasing. The piece that goes behind your ears has a bendable wire in it that you can mold to whatever shape you like to make the glasses stay on better. The retention strap slides off easily as soon as your sunscreen lubes up the frame, so… Full review
Darn Tough Merino No-Show Sock Mesh
I really like it, keeps clean itself, gets dry super fast. I was looking for lifetime products and one friend recommended to me this brand and its benefits. Then I made my research and found it. The size was perfect. Because fit perfect, I really like the feeling in my feet. I don't need to wash it always because if I let it "dry" clean itself it doesn't matter if was wet or not, and always is ready for use again. Are very comfortable, are really well made it, you can feel that in your feet! Full review
Marmot Men's PreCip Jacket
I really like it. I started to use for trail and then I started to love it for biking. Fits perfect in my backpacks, really stop the rain and the wind. Super lightweight and packable, the first day I almost forget that I take my jacket in my backpack. Very comfortable, fits perfect and does't matter if I'm very or low active. I can open under my armpit and I can enjoy my activity with more breathability. The cuffs close perfectly. The big pockets are super helpful to carry more things inside and… Full review
Patagonia Men's R1 Hoody
Great looking and delivers the goods when active, but has limited applications. Like most everyone here I try to do as much research as I can before spending a few bucks on a technical piece of gear. I did that with the Pat. R1 and kept reading about how it's a "favorite" and serves a lot of functions. Unfortunately, my experience has been different. It still comes along with me on most trips, but I think I could have spent my money better. The R1 is very well made. The fit is right on the money… Full review
Outdoor Research Men's Filament Jacket
This ultralight down packable jacket is the perfect addition to my backpacking setup. Lightweight, packable, versatile, warm. This ultralight down packable jacket is the perfect addition to my backpacking setup. Similar to the Mountain Hardwear Ghost Whisperer, this jacket is warm, windproof, water resistant (haven't tried it standalone in rain, and wouldn't—nothing worse than wearing wet down), super packable, and super light. I never go on a backpacking trip without this item. It hardly takes… Full review
Outdoor Research Sparkplug Gaiters
I use these gaiters for trail running and they effectively keep sand and pebbles out of my shoes. They attach to your shoes with a piece of velcro on the back and a hook for your laces in the front. They only come with one pair of velcro attachments so I used pieces of velcro from a sewing kit for my other running shoes. So far, so good. Full review
