Ibex Meru Hat

rated 4.5 of 5 stars The perfect beanie to wear under a helmet or when you are working hard in the cold. The fact is that, without a hat this day I would have been very hypothermic. I love wearing my Trailspace logo running cap so when Alicia sent me the beanie I was double stoked because now I can rep TS in the cold as well. My favorite thing on the trail is getting asked, "What is Trailspace?" A very, very wet day on Mount Baker. I sweat so much that I poured sweat out of my ski boots once I got to camp. This hat… Full review

Outdoor Research Unisex Flurry Beanie

rated 5 of 5 stars A great 3-season, any-weather hat. The Outdoor Research Flurry Beanie was my go-to hat on a trip literally around the entire country. 6,500 driving and hiking miles later this is still my go-to. I rarely take it off unless I am in the office or it's summer time.  This hat is moisture wicking, so it can be used in warmer weather and is great while being active. The "Flatlock Seam Construction" is great because you can't see the seams, they don't protrude off your head, and the inner fleece liner… Full review

Columbia Men's Omni Shade Silver Ridge Booney

rated 3.5 of 5 stars Replaces my sunscreen. Honestly I've never been a complete fan of these 360 degree brimmed "safari" sun hats. If I'm chilling out in the sun I prefer the straw lifeguard/gardner hats better but those are not hiking hats. I have a few breathable baseball caps that I always wear in the sun on bike rides or hikes but I always end up sun burned if i don't apply sunscreen. So I caved and picked up a couple of these in grey for my girlfriend and I before our treacherous Grand Canyon mission in a week… Full review

Buff Original Buff

rated 4 of 5 stars Really fun gear to have with you. Very comfortable and not too bulky in neck. Very practical, you can just slip it in a pocket. The all around neck warmer +. Full review

Outdoor Research Frostline Hat

rated 1 of 5 stars This hat has great features and genius to the design, but the velcro straps are so bad as to outweigh all the other good features. I suggest DON'T buy it. The hat is light years ahead of a Dome Perignon, but alas I am 1 or 2 years too soon for this fancy new hat technology because they used velcro instead of high quality metal snap buttons, which would be ideal. I hope they revise it to eliminate the velcro and put on metal snap buttons. Full review

Mountain Hardwear Dome Meritage

rated 5 of 5 stars Excellent warmth, great wind block, super ear coverage, and super comfy material. I've bought this for my girlfriend on sale and went back to get one for myself! If you are seeing one around on sale, grab it. It's warm, blocks wind, and covers my ears like no other hat, even my Icebreaker.  Full review

Black Rock Gear Original Black Rock Hat

rated 2 of 5 stars Not a very good hat. Not as warm or as comfortable as a good wool beanie. This hat doesn't breathe well so it gets sweated up easy and is worthless. I love down, but not for hats. Look at merino/possum blend hats for something 10x as good as this down hat. Full review

UGQ Outdoor Equipment Down Skully

rated 5 of 5 stars Quilt users will want to take notice of this 1.4 oz. down beanie/skully which may become one of your favorite pieces of winter gear. Anyone who hangs out in the cool can find this super light and very warm hat worth every penny of the purchase price. Uses are only limited to their imagination. Hunters, anglers, hikers, sports fans, shooters, golfers and everyone who hangs out in the cold can benefit from this 850 hyper Drydown filled beanie. Materials Start with a 10D nylon inner and 15D DWR treated… Full review

Buff Merino Wool Buff

rated 4 of 5 stars Light, versatile, and good warm go-to layering accessory that has worked its way into most every trip this year. It even has ended up on my neck on winter bike rides to the morning market. Stuffs into a pocket easily. Works as an ear warming headband, an impromptu hat almost anywhere, and a balaclava for nordic skiing. The black wool Buff has been worn and washed so much it is a bit greyish, or faded black, from what it was brand new. As I am not into fashion, true or otherwise black is not a big… Full review
