Ozark Trail 9 X 9 EZ Up

rated 3.0 of 5 stars

The 9 X 9 EZ Up has been discontinued. If you're looking for something new, check out the best tents and shelters for 2024.

I love my tent I bought it when going through a rough divorce. Me and my daughter wanted to do some things together and I didn't want to spend hours putting up a tent and camping was our first choice.

It was so easy and it left us lots of extra time to go fishing, swimming, and cooking. I have had it three years and was looking online to make sure they still sold them just in case I need a new one and found your article. I hope my opinion raises it up to at least a 4 star particularly for single moms.

Thanks Ozark Trail. Sharon Shifflett

Sleeps: 4
Ease of Setup: very easy
Price Paid: $50 as I recall

Purchased this tent 14 months ago to use with Cub Scouts, have used a total of five times. Cannot recommend it. The poles collapsed on the last two campouts during moderate winds. No matter how it is staked and how secure the fly, it collapsed repeatedly. The EZ Up poles have snap hinges that would not hold. On the positive side, it is very easy to put up and take down, and it did not leak. Only has a six-month warranty, I should've been forewarned. It may be inexpensive but it is just money thrown away.

I have had this tent for 5 years and have taken it up and down at least 100 times since I bought it. This is a great tent. I would buy other one if I could find it in a larger size...I still take mine with me even though I bought a much larger Ozark tent. I would recommend this tent to especially anyone who is just starting out on their ventures into tent camping. It is the easiest tent to put up and take down....5 min up and 5 mins down what a deal.

I've tried two different versions of this tent over the last three years and both times it was a disaster due to wind folding up the tent pole joints. A brisk wind releases the velcro helping hold the fly to the tent poles and then it tries to EZ Down, folding all of the way to the ground. I've spent a couple of sleepless nights trying to hold this stupid thing up on a windy night. Of course if you add a little rain, it makes everything worse.

Design: Quick Assembly Dome
Sleeps: 2
Ease of Setup: Extremely quick and easy. Also easy down in wind.
Price Paid: $59.95

Goes up in about 5 minutes with rain hood, has weathered many storms and still stands up to them all. Had up for about six months straight in my backyard in N.J. and never leaked or had a problem.... would buy this tent again if I could find another Easy Up. Works if you have at least 3 brain cells...if not stick with something else like a rv or hotel...

Sleeps: 4
Ease of Setup: eazzzzzzy
Weight: 5 lbs
Price Paid: $59.99

This is the easiest tent to put up, went camping with family, everyone was fussing aroung with poles and stuff, we arrived with our EZ up and had it assembled in less than five minutes, and had to help out putting up other tents because we had so much time left over. Next camping trip everyone traded in their regular tents for EZ Ups.

Great Product!!!

This tent was the easiest I've ever put up. We have used it many times and it has never collapsed as indicated in some of the reviews. It has held up in 30 mph winds and 100 degree heat. When a family has but a brief time to get away, this is a quick upnready on a Friday night. Don't forget to put the center "lock" in place.

Sleeps: 4
Ease of Setup: EZ as the name
Weight: unk
Price Paid: $49

My husband and I love this tent. We've never had a lick of problem. We just set ours up to make sure it was good for Memorial Weekend and we had it up and down in less than 10 minuets. It's awesome. We've loaned it several times and used several times ourselves and it works perfectly every time. Where can I buy another one??

Price Paid: Don't remember

Collapses easily, rain fly is difficult to put on, does not fit well on the tent, and catches wind making the tent bend and tent poles snap... tent poles collapse if not secured with rope to nearby heavy objects as the tent lofts up off the ground... zipper snags and tears on front door overhanging fabric.

Sleeps: 4
Ease of Setup: easy up.. falls over easy
Weight: too heavy for serious camping

My experience with this tent has made me regret camping. I have had better camping experiences in a Hide-A-Tent. Of course it was the easiest tent to put up but the Tent poles melted like a swizle stick in water. Do not get this tent unless you like to hold it up while sleeping!

Design: Warm season frestanding dome
Sleeps: 4
Weight: 5lbs
Price Paid: $39.99

First Up, Last Down. Mine has broken in the three times I used. Does not came with any manual how to disarm it... Worst tent to buy. The idea was great but the product...
If Ozark could help me to fix mine, I would be very glad.

Do not buy this tent!

Sleeps: 2
Ease of Setup: to set up ok. to set down.. worst
Price Paid: R$ 150

Grand idea, set-up is fast and easy, the problem is
a stiff breeze will take it down.
