Aqua-Bound Sting Ray Carbon

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Excellent ultra light paddle with lots of adjustability. Packs down in two pieces, drip rings included, and very little "flutter" when paddling hard. I got this paddle as a present with my kayak for Christmas from my wife. I was used to an aluminum shaft paddle on my last kayak. Immediately I noticed that this thing is light. I thought my aluminum paddle was light. I was wrong! At just over a pound, this paddle is almost non-existent in your hands. It has a positive locking ferrule that has locking… Full review

Werner Skagit FG IM

rated 5 of 5 stars Great paddle...Great value. The Skagit FG IM is a great all around paddle. I don't think that you could find a better paddle at a better price. Yes, carbon would be lighter, but it would cost more also. Full review

Sanborn Canoe Co. Gunflint

rated 5 of 5 stars The Gunflint looks great, is very comfortable in hand, and is really powerful. Goes out in the canoe every time I do. Full disclosure: I received my paddle from Sanborn as a gift for some photos I did for them, and I had also used them prior to that.  I have a Gunflint with the 14° bend from the blade to shaft. The weight is not ideal for an ultralighter, but it's still really comfortable, and definitely better than the cheaper paddles I've used. I really like the oiled grip. Seems to chafe less… Full review

Mitchell Paddles Premier

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Many people spend thousands of dollars on a canoe or kayak, but go cheap when choosing something equally important...their paddle. If you are looking for a great performing white water canoe paddle, Mitchell Paddles makes the Premier using wood, fiberglass and carbon fiber. These paddles are very well made for paddlers, by paddlers. They are stiff, and heavier than lighter duty paddles, but will last more years than others. Background: David Mitchell started whitewater slalom racing in the early… Full review

Werner Cyprus

rated 5 of 5 stars Outstanding premium touring paddle, extremely well designed and built. Always a pleasure to use. I've been paddling with a Cyprus since 2011. Several two-week expeditions and many shorter trips.  Lots of day paddling. I'm a sea kayaking instructor. I initially purchased the Cyprus as a backup to my Werner Ikelos (also an excellent paddle) because I wanted something with a slightly smaller blade area for long days on the water with a heavy boat.  It quickly became my primary expedition paddle thanks… Full review

Bending Branches Impression Solo

rated 5 of 5 stars This is a well made, eight-foot-long paddle made for solo canoeing. It is a very strongly and beautifully made paddle. I just finished paddling the Mississippi River from Lake Itasca and the Venice, Louisiana, in an 18-foot canoe and spent many days fighting a south wind and the waves there would sometimes be so strong they would push me back. With my Bending Branch Solo Canoe Paddle I was able to make miles and fight my way down the Mighty Mississippi River on days I would otherwise have been wind… Full review

Bending Branches Infusion

rated 4 of 5 stars Great paddle very light. Bright color (I like to be seen on the water), if you know what I mean. Nice tapered grip. I have had this paddle and several other brands over the years and now it seems I always grab the Infusion over the others. It has a lot of miles on it and other than a few scratches on the blade it looks and acts as if it was brand new. Love how light this composite paddle is. The handles are slightly oval rather than round, which helps with maintaining grip position. Full review

Carlisle Expedition

rated 5 of 5 stars Fantastic! I love this paddle! Worth every penny! Its light weight fits nicely in your hand, so there is no blistering or rubbing. It doesn't get slippery when it's wet! I don't have a bad word to say about it! LOVE IT. Full review

Old Town Golden Light Canoe Paddle

rated 4 of 5 stars This paddles is a perfect choice if you are looking for a paddle that is extremely light. This product is best for all types of water and lengths of trips. This paddles is a perfect choice if you are looking for a paddle that is extremely light. This product is best for all types of water and lengths of trips. I use it to push off the bank over logs, and the metal bar never bends. The handle fits quite well in the palm. The only negative about this is that the handle makes your hands turn black.
