Kokatat Men's Tropos Light Drift Jacket

rated 4 of 5 stars This is a reasonably priced paddle jacket, very roomy and comfortable for paddling. I use to for cool weather canoeing, and it has served me well for that use. I have room for a light fleece under it, and room for a PFD over it. Though I am a woman, I use men's jackets, as I really prefer LONG sleeves. The jacket is very comfortable to wear while paddling, even as I wear it under a PFD. The sleeves have a roomy cut, and the velcro splash cuffs are soft, and not irritating as some velcro cuffs can… Full review

Kokatat Tempest Pant

rated 5 of 5 stars I use these pants for whitewater kayaking. The ability to stay dry is a must, when paddling in Alabama during the winter. I have had these pants for two months and love them. Best practice, stay in your boat, but if you swim these pants will work. Before I began using these pants I had been suffering form having no way to paddle in the COLD waters in Alabama. After a friend purchased a pair I had to get some myself. I now have the ability to paddle on the colder days of winter.   The built-in socks… Full review

NRS Women's Boaters Gloves

rated 3.5 of 5 stars Great blister and sun protection, but the palms "pill" quickly. I like these fingerless gloves a lot, but I'm not sure I will buy another pair when these wear out. They do keep my hands from getting blistered, and the fingerless design allows for good digital dexterity. However, I don't like that the material on the palms is white—after one use they looked pretty grubby, and the suede was "pilling" (like a sweater).  On hot days, it is nice to wear these because you can dip your hands in the… Full review

NRS Women's HydroSkin Pant

rated 5 of 5 stars Very comfortable paddling pants, silky-smooth, with no annoying seams. I love my Hydroskin pants! They wick moisture from the body and dry quickly. I have worn them both in early spring (when the ocean is VERY cold) and throughout the summer, and have noticed that they adapt quite adeptly to a variety of conditions. I also really like the wide waistband and that they ride a little higher (but not TOO high—not "mom-jeans" high) so they don't ride up when I'm sitting or climbing around on island… Full review

Kokatat Gore-Tex Meridian Dry Suit with Relief Zip

rated 5 of 5 stars Dependable cold water protection. Excellent comfort, construction, materials, warranty, and customer service. This dry suit is excellent for any type of kayaking, canoeing, or rafting. Love this dry suit. Wear it all the time. It is comfortable to wear in a wide range of temperatures. If I get too hot, I just roll to cool off. Durable materials, excellent waterproof zippers, neoprene covers over latex gaskets to protect them from UV damage. Wear it, treat it like the expensive garment it is, and… Full review

Extrasport Splash Top - Short Sleeve

rated 5 of 5 stars An excellent splash top if you can find them cheap on STP. I got one of these (in grey) and also the long-sleeve version (red and white) when they were sold at a steep discount on STP. Man, for the price, you could not beat it! I wish I had ordered more at the time! I now use the long sleeve as my primary jacket when I do extended trips in the Everglades, both in my kayak and for hiking. It serves well as a windbreaker, paddling jacket, jacket for the 'cold' and even as a rain jacket in the occasional… Full review

NRS Extreme SAR Drysuit

rated 5 of 5 stars It is what it says it is — an EXTREME search and rescue drysuit! I work on a Fire Department Swift Water Rescue Team. Because of my familiarity with drysuits from my Dive Rescue experience the chief asked me to choose a drysuit for the team. I chose this one for a number of reasons foremost amongst those was the welded seams. Most kayaking drysuit come with taped seams and I just didn't feel that would stand up to the demanding use of our rescue team.   Other features are the glow-in-the-dark… Full review

NRS Maverick Glove

rated 5 of 5 stars An awesome, all weather DRY glove! My Fire Department Swift Water Rescue team trains in the river 12 months of the year and is called on for rescue efforts in all conditions. These gloves work well in snow, sleet, ice cold water — you name it they work!   When our swift water team was formed we specced out some cheap neoprene gloves in an attempt to save the taxpayers money. As it turns out those gloves were near unusable during the winter months and a lot of  the guys were going gloveless rather… Full review

Camaro Men's C1-11 4/3mm Neoprene Wetsuit

rated 4 of 5 stars I have a C1-11 from about 2008 and it has worked great and lasted me until now (2011). It did start to split in a few places, where the knee material joined the leg split apart.  Some of the seams on the inside came apart, but some wetsuit glue kept it going.   I use it for kitesurfing and it does well keeping me warm in and out of the water. I just got another one the Mundaka C1-11 from STP. for the price it can't be beat it seems to me. Full review
