REI Adventures Cargo Pants

rated 5 of 5 stars Great outdoors, not that out of the place in the city. REI must have mannequins of my size because their pants always fit me perfectly. I find them very comfortable. This one is no exception. You will feel comfortable and look good in those pants both on the trail and in the mall. It makes them very versatile for travelling. They have 7 pockets, 3 of them with zippers. One pocket is just a tiny one located inside the right hand pocket. They are very light and dries fast. Obviously not made for winter,… Full review

Craghoppers NosiLife Convertible Trousers

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Practical lightweight trousers with nine pockets and zip-off legs, and impregnated with insect repellent. Excellent for warm weather hiking and travel. British brand Craghoppers take a practical approach in the design of their clothing and these trousers are no exception. They feature a total of nine pockets—hip, thigh and back pockets plus a zipped security pocket behind the right hip pocket, an extra zipped pocket on the left thigh pocket, and a stretch pocket inside the right thigh pocket… Full review

Fjallraven Keb Gaiter Trouser

rated 3 of 5 stars An incredibly durable pant that converts to shorts, and has adjustable DWR thanks to the wax coating. Ideal for scrambles and bushwalking. The Keb Gaiter is a effectively a creative reimagining of your classic zip off pant-shorts, but using Fjallraven's cult favourite the Keb Trouser. The Gaiter version uses same hybrid G1000 and super light stretch material design. The key difference is that instead of a bottom vent zipper, the fabric beneath the knee bend has a zipper. The bottom sections are… Full review

Mountain Hardwear Castil Convertible Pant

rated 4 of 5 stars A very versatile, strong multi-use pant. Great for hiking or being outdoors, but great for being in town as well. A very affordable and functional pant for moderate to warm weather. This is my second pair of the Mountain Hardwear Castil Convertible Pant in the last eight months. First off, they are a great pant on the trail or off. They are a great look for everyday wear as well as hiking apparel, which is nice. I have been fortunate enough to run them through plenty of mud, and have slid them down… Full review

Beyond Clothing M5 Glacier Pant

rated 2 of 5 stars $380— I was expecting a lifelong pant with terrific quality and features. NOPE, the cheapest zippers on the pockets that I have EVER seen, AND, misconstructed on top of that. Sent back, then one month later I get them back and the zipper bottom had a cheap, bent-up plastic clasp replaced at the bottom. I had to hammer it and straighten it myself. Second pair, pocket zipper froze due to the same cheap construction. Sent back, three weeks later they are on a one-week track back to my address. They… Full review

Patagonia Men's Alpine Houdini Pants

rated 4.5 of 5 stars The Alpine Houdini is a compact, lightweight all-season pant that is waterproof, windproof, breathable, and lives up to the Patagonia name. These durable storm pants are ideal for hikers, bikers, runners, or anyone who spends lots of time outside and that needs emergency rain/snow protection in a compact, lightweight package. Patagonia regularly breaks barriers when it comes to function and innovation in the world of outdoor apparel. It feels to me like they have always been there for the outdoor… Full review

Patagonia Women's Insulated Snowbelle Pants

rated 3.5 of 5 stars I have LOVED wearing this pant this winter! I was looking for a pant I could use in hiking the NH 48's and this is the one! They fit comfy and kept me toasty when above treeline in the negative temps and below windchill! Would definitely recommend! These pant kept me warm and dry in some very cold temps. I have worn them in snow and did not get wet at all. Hiking works up a sweat and I wore a baselayer and these pants and I didn't overheat but was not cold either.  They were very comfortable with… Full review

prAna Stretch Zion Convertible

rated 5 of 5 stars Been searching for the perfect pair of backpacking convertible pants and I've found them! I've been searching for the perfect pair of COMFORTABLE convertible backpacking pants for years. My biggest complaint has always been elastic waistbands totally rubbing my hips raw under my hip belt. If the weather is foul for board shorts and I wear pants I end up bloody. My girlfriend found a pair of awesome Columbia stretch convertible pants that were perfect but they don't make them for men? I only found… Full review

Bergans Okla Lady Pant

rated 3 of 5 stars Designed for ski touring and mountaineering, the Okla does not live up to expectations when it comes to these activities. The cuff is too narrow to comfortably accommodate a ski touring boot, and the thin, lightweight material is unlikely to provide adequate insulation in higher elevations. However, the Okla is an excellent option for those on the market for a lightweight, breathable soft-shell pant that can be worn across a variety of other winter activities such as snowshoeing, backcountry nordic… Full review
