Dish & DUER Stay Dry Denim Relaxed

rated 5 of 5 stars A technical jean that can be worn to dinner or rock climbing. Water resistant, performance stretch denim featuring Coolmax and Silvadur technology. dish&DE/UR has done what others haven't by producing a line of performance denim jeans. We all wear cotton jeans but we know they really don't work well for athletic activities. dish&DE/UR has filled the void with its line of performance denim jeans. These classically designed jeans feature a lightweight stretchable Rainshield treated L2X fabric… Full review

Sierra Designs Elite Rain Chaps

rated 5 of 5 stars What a cool idea! This, with the cagoule, is the coolest rain system ever.   You have to have been caught in diluvien rain with a full pack on with several more peaks to ascend to appreciate this one. I recommend wearing them and adjusting them before your trip, because once properly adjusted, they easily slide over wet boots and clip onto your pants. I got to test the entire system on a hike in the Sierra foothills where I got caught in heavy rain and high winds and it performed beautifully.  … Full review

prAna Vaha Pant

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Wow, these things are comfy and if you cover up the waistband they will pass for nice linen dress pants. I found these on sale at a major retailer and I had just discovered how comfortable prAna pants were. In fact I had vowed to wear nothing but prAna pants ever again and so I needed another pair of prAna something. I put them on as soon as I got home and was thrilled at how soft they were. But, it was 30 degrees outside and I don't turn my heater up very high so I put midweight wool long underwear… Full review

Opedix KNEE-Tec 2.0 Full Length Tights

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Technical tights that improve alignment for increased performance. A valuable tool that can be used for training, racing, or injury rehabilitation. When I first received the Opedix KNEE-Tec 2.0 tights I was not sure what to make of them. Opedix has utilized years of scientific research in the biomechanical movement of the human body when designing their performance wear. In order to achieve what Opedix calls Kinetic Health, they have designed their tights with what they call "Torque Reform Technology"… Full review

U.S. Armed Forces M65 Trouser Liner

rated 5 of 5 stars I used these in the late Cold War Army—wonderful when worn alone but sometimes not warm when buttoned in the cold-weather fatigue pants. It's the same construction as the wonderful poncho liners which thankfully the U.S. military still provides. In addition to Amazon, etc, you can get these at Army-Navy surplus stores, although Amazon etc tends to be cheaper. Just concurring with other reviewers—it's a great piece of military surplus that is cheap, warm, and dries fast, although when buttoned… Full review

Fjallraven Men's Vidda Pro Trouser

rated 4.5 of 5 stars These are the best camping/foraging pants I've found. They dry fast, and are super durable. They are not super fire resistant though. These are my go-to pants. I wear them every single time I'm in the woods, whether it's teaching a survival/bushcraft class or foraging for some edibles.  They fit tight on me, but I'm pretty fit so my thighs and glutes are big in comparison to my waist.  I love the length. The tall fits me well at 6'1" and both ankles have adjustability to tighten up.  Water resistance… Full review

U.S. Armed Forces M65 Trouser Liner

rated 5 of 5 stars The M65 pant liner is a sub-$10 hidden gem for cold weather camping or backpacking. The key is using them as an overpant as they're sized large enough and easily unbutton to quickly don or doff without having to remove boots or existing layers. Perfect for those static situations like sitting around at camp or belaying or glassing while hunting. Would be way too warm for active use unless well below 0° IMO while wearing a base layer and hiking pant/shell.   The m65 pant liner was designed to be… Full review

Fjallraven Men's Vidda Pro Trouser

rated 5 of 5 stars Sturdy built and well thought features such as pocket layout and gaiter hook. I got these pants to replace my ski winter pants a few weeks ago but started to wear them regularly. They are quite comfy. I like the pocket layout. Also they are very good looking pants according to my wife ;) Initially I was intrigue about the fabric type and the old school waxing for waterproofing and thought that this could be a good replacing for my ski pants which are falling apart. They look very sturdy with knee… Full review

Patagonia Men's Super Guide Pants

rated 5 of 5 stars Trustworthy do-it-all winter pant. These have been my go-to winter pants for the better part of a decade. Ice climbing, backcountry skiing, lift-served skiing, snowshoeing, shoveling the driveway, making snow, the Super Guides have done it all with aplomb. And they blend in well enough around town, too. Five zippered pockets -- two hand, two thigh, one rear -- allow for plenty of easily-acessible storage for both everyday essentials (keys, wallet, phone) and winter activity specifics -- maps, scrapers,… Full review
