Fjallraven Barents Pro Trouser

rated 2.5 of 5 stars The Barents Pro trousers are tough and well-made. Unfortunately, I found them too close-fitting to be comfortable. Fjallraven’s Barents Pro trousers come in an asymmetric design with three cargo pockets – one on the right leg and two on the left. They also have two deep hand pockets on the hips, a mobile phone pocket inside the right cargo pocket, and an axe pocket on the left leg. Mobile phone pocket inside the right cargo pocket The arrangement of the cargo pockets is excellent. If you’re… Full review

Fjallraven Barents Trousers

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Rugged and practical hiking trousers with multiple pockets. Not suited for warm weather but excellent from fall to spring. The Fjallraven Barents Trousers The Barents Trousers by Swedish brand Fjallraven are tough and practical, with a reinforced seat and knees and seven pockets. The Barents Pro Trousers are a variation on the same design with a slimmer cut and minor changes to the pocket layout. Initially I ordered the Barents Pro trousers because Fjallraven describes this model as having a regular… Full review

Duluth Fleece-Lined Dry on the Fly Cargo Pants

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Duluth Trading "Dry-on-the-Fly" fleece lined nylon pants for $89.50. They have many nice features that make them a great bargain at their price. I recently got a pair of Duluth Trading nylon twill shell, fleece lined winter pants. For $89.50 they have great quality and easily beat out RailRiders $130 nylon shell, fleece lined nylon pants, even if they were the same price! Features: 100% nylon twill shell, very tightly woven polyester fleece lining (about 100 weight fleece) large crotch gusset for… Full review

Rab Vertex Pants

rated 5 of 5 stars Very comfortable, breathable hiking pants. I have always found it difficult to find hiking pants that fit my short inseam well. Usually even 30" inseams are too long, and tend to drag on the ground. These pants have superb fit all the way around. My wife always complains that most of my hiking trousers look super baggy, but commented that I look GREAT in these. ;~) The stretchy polyamide/elastane fabric is very comfortable and highly breathable. Even on hard-charging uphill hikes, I never felt clammy… Full review

Rab Offwidth Pants

rated 4 of 5 stars A casual pant that can be used everyday without looking weird. OK for climbing though not very athletically constructed. If you want to combine something for climbing and something for work then this is a good choice. It's easy to do climbing moves though it isn't very athletic, doesn't feel like a pair of tights or anything close. With a harness it is a bit uncomfortable because it has all the features a pair of jeans has.  They are quite sturdy, good quality, and overall great value.  Full review

Eddie Bauer Mountain Pants

rated 4 of 5 stars Comfortable, a little heavy, and durable well designed pants. It's a little weird to review a pair of pants. I mean, each brand and style of pants fits a little different and offers different feel and features. I typically wear a lightweight guide pant like the Kuhl Revolvr, but those pants haven't held up well in the seams in the bottom of the crotch (right where everything comes together). So I went out searching for pants with some similar design elements but which were a little more durable… Full review

Sierra Designs Elite Rain Chaps

rated 4 of 5 stars These chaps are a lightweight alternative to regular rain pants. They shed water and have much more ventilation than rain pants. I had the opportunity to test the Sierra Designs Elite Rain Chaps this summer, first on a drizzly day hike in California and then for four solid days of rain on the Tour of Mont Blanc. The chaps are an interesting alternative to rain pants in that they are two separate legs that attach to pants or shorts using a plastic hook on a single side strap (one strap per leg). Full review

prAna Halle Pants

rated 5 of 5 stars Every time I see a woman browsing hiking pants in an outdoor store, I want to run up to her and tell her about these pants. (But that would be weird so I'll just write this review.) The cut is flattering, the fabric has stretch but is also sturdy, and after three years and many miles they still look brand new. Perfect for hiking, camping, backpacking, fishing, and around town. Prana's Halle Pants are my favorite piece of outdoor gear I own. Why do I love them? The cut is the BEST — seriously flattering… Full review

Kuhl Revolvr Pant

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Super comfortable hiking pants. I wear these on almost every hiking trip. Despite the price, I highly recommend them. After nearly biting the $85 bullet several times, I finally pulled the trigger and purchased these pants. After the initial sticker shock, I have not been disappointed in the least. They are true to size and fit great. I find myself wearing these pants off the trail quite often. They are very comfortable. Pockets are well placed and right sized. Abrasion resistance is very good. The… Full review
