Patagonia Capilene Daily T-Shirt

Dries fast, inexpensive and comfortable...

This is Patagonia's Daily T-Shirt, advertised as being a regular cut so you won't look out of place in town. It's made out of the same quick drying Capilene polyester as the discontinued Capilene 1 Silkweight T-Shirt, with the same Polygiene odor control, but it comes in more "normal" colors.

Also listed among its features are gusseted underarms (I don't know what that means) and 50+ sun protection. The material is good stuff, it's more abrasion resistant than would seem from it's soft, stretchy feel and it washes up nicely. Typical Patagonia quality in stitching and build.

The hems are on the shoulders are not offset like most technical shirts, but they're fairly small and flat. I've worn it solo with a daypack a few times and didn't notice any rubbing or anything, and I've worn it under layers with a 30-lb pack for a few days with no ill results, as well.

It is cut long, however. I'm 5'9" with a long torso and usually a large fits just right in length. Might be hard to see from the pics but it's longer than I would like as a solo shirt. I like the length for winter backpacking when I'm wearing it under layers. It gives me a little more protection and it's easy to grab and pull down if the layers ride up.

It's also a roomy cut, definitely not a slim fit. It's a good shirt all in all, it dries super fast and it's a good value.
