For what I purchased this jacket for, it excels. I use it fly fishing with a 260 Ice Breaker merino base layer and a Cloudveil or Simms gore jacket.

As long as the temps stay around the high 20's this is a superb shell. I also love it for fall with only a shirt. Great look, design, and performance.
