Fabric: thin nylon outer shell.
Fill: fluffy fleece

Let me first say that i think Patagonia has gotten lackadaisical with their jacket design. The Snap Zip Jacket is very warm, and light weight, which I love. But, the sleeve holes around the wrists are much too large and the sleeves just slide down over your hands unless you consciously/constantly keep your hand wide open to prevent this from happening. It's very uncomfortable and annoying.
I can't believe Patagonia mass produced millions of jackets that have this annoying, easily detectable design fly. I also bought the zip front regular fleece with the pocket on the front, and it too has this same problem, but also has a few other problems. The synchilla zip front fleece is not roomy enough in the shoulders and is too roomy around the waist, to the point where wind just goes straight up the front and is uncomfortable.
My older Patagonia jackets were designed much better, I think this brand is going downhill fast. I don't think the design people are even trying on this stuff before they approve it and send it off for mass production. If they don't get their act together quick, I will stop buying their products.
Very warm jacket...I did not use the reversible function…

Very warm jacket...I did not use the reversible function because the zipper is on the wrong side when you do.
My only complaints are: this thing runs big!!! I wear a medium in all my Patagonia stuff...sz small in this garment and it's not even close...medium was down over my hips and shoulders.
I have had a lot of recycled fleece items from Patagonia and this is the first one where the recycled fleece "really" looked recycled...almost like it had been washed a bunch of times.
Add to my complaints that the factory store in Seattle did not carry the item and I had to order without a try on...ended up return the Medium.
