From Campmor:
"Ultra compact LED headlamp: about the same size as a golf ball. 3 Brightness settings (high, medium, and low) plus a strobe feature for emergency / safety usage. Push button recessed switch for ease of use. The recessed switch prevents the light from accidentally turning on when not in use. Ratcheting tilt system allows the user to aim the light where needed. Extended anti-glare lip keeps the light from shining in your eyes when aiming your light in close proximity. H2OK: meaning that water will not damage this light when exposed to rain or brief submersions (for salt water situations be sure to rinse thoroughly with fresh water). Burn Times: 4 LEDs: High 100 hours Medium 120 hours Low 150 hours Strobe mode: 400 hours Beam Range: 30 Feet / 10 Meters Power: 3 AAA batteries (included) Weight: 50g / 1.8 oz without batteries 80 g / 2.8 oz with batteries"

The Tikka Plus Headlamp weighs only 2.75 ounces, and provides plenty of light for traveling through the backcountry at night. Petzl added a push-button switch with three brightness settings and a strobe mode for signaling. I find the four settings a little annoying at times, such as when I want to flash some light briefly, then turn the thing off: I end up cycling through all four settings, with the headache inducing strobe setting coming last and anything alive within 50 meters decidedly unamused."

As it turns out I use it all the time for hands-free working around the house and I can't always find it because wife and kids use it all the time. It is easy to turn on, and clips onto my helmet quickly."

For hiking it's all that--everything you need and nothing you don't. If you don't hike at night very often it's perfect. If you get stuck hiking in the dark it has plenty of light to hike by.
Did I mention it's tiny."
