Xiaomi Power Bank 20000 mAh
Very capable (but large and heavy) power bank with two-way QuickCharge support and dual USB output. Nice and simple design, but no case or pouch for carrying. Mostly useful for owners of power-greedy equipment, such as action cameras. Background In my outdoor trips I prefer avoiding the situations when I need a power socket for charging my electronic devices. There are many of them: smartphone, a couple of headlamps, health tracker, GPS navigator, DSLR camera, and every year this number grows. At… Full review
HALO Pocket Power StarLight 3000
I have two of these and one does not charge. The other charged my device for about five minutes and then was dead! GARBAGE! I tried to use it once. Only held charge for 24 hours and could not charge another device. The other must have a bad connection as I could not get it to charge. Full review
Seattle Sports SurviVolts Power Bank
The power bank, 5000 mAh capacity, can recharge a cell phone or power an included set of components useful for lighting or emergency signaling especially. It is compact and portable, although not ultralight. My initial impression is quite favorable. The basic power bank seems to be a 26850 lithium-ion battery with an integral small flashlight, potentially quite useful if you ever need to assemble the other components in the dark. Four blue LEDs indicate the charge status. Other components are: a… Full review
HALO Pocket Power StarLight 3000
The three I have owned all stopped working. There must be a design flaw in these. One of the three was a replacement for the first one that stopped working. Junk. Junk. Full review
Eddie Bauer Solar Power Bank 6000mAh
On our weeklong kayaking trip, this solar charger was the hot commodity. Everyone was looking to borrow this. I don't have much experience with solar chargers yet, but I must admit, this solar charger was working overtime every day for seven days straight, and never skipped a beat. We had 15 people total in the group and had two solar chargers. The Eddie Bauer was the preferred of the two. It was more consistent and charged faster than the other model. It has a built-in flashlight. We used the… Full review
EnerPlex Jumpr Slate 5K-L
A great battery storage system for all your electronics. 5 milliampere-hour of storage. Super thin design. The EnerPlex Jumpr Slate 5K is a simple to use storage battery with an integrated power plug that can be used to recharge any mini USB compatible device. Measuring 6 5/8 inches by 3 5/8 inches and only 1/4 inch thick the Jumpr Slate weighs just 6.5 ounces. To charge up the battery, plug the supplied power adapter into an outlet and insert the mini USB plug into the Jumpr Slate. Four green… Full review
EasyAcc 20000mAh Rugged Power Bank
This is the most durable power bank that I have found. It's dustproof, waterproof, and shockproof. It also has a built-in flashlight and SOS signal. I have been looking for a portable battery bank for a long time. My phone and cameras are always running low when I am out traveling or hiking with my family. I was about to get a cheap power bank, but then EasyAAC approached me about making a video of their battery bank for my YouTube channel. In the video below I unbox the power bank and check out… Full review
HALO Pocket Power StarLight 3000
Product defective. Replacement defective. Further contact ignored by company. Product arrived DOA so I emailed support and received a return authorization which I filled out and returned with the defective product at my expense. I received a replacement which was also DOA but with a different failure mode. Subsequent efforts to contact the company were ignored.
So, I paid for the product and paid to return the defective product and was then ignored when I asked for another replacement. Full review

I'm hiking the Pacific Crest Trail and do a lot of night hiking looking for a campsite or going for water. The Guide Ten make my life and hike easier and safer knowing I will always have fresh batteries for my headlamp. I don't have to carry a lot of extra batteries and the Guide Ten is easy to use.
