Rab Alpine Pull-On

Some sites describe this as a soft shell jacket but I prefer to describe it as a wind top.

The fabric is Pertex but rather than one of the many lightweight versions of the fabric it uses the Equilibrium fabric. This means it is heaver but also more durable than the lighter weight fabrics.  The fabric is not 100% windproof but to all practical intent it might as well be. 

The two chest pockets are set high so they clear a rucksack harness.  

The garment offers no insulation and is therefore best used with one or more insulating layers underneath. It would hold off a short shower but is not designed to keep out the rain to any great extent.
