Montagna

rated 5 of 5 stars These boots have a superior design and are made from superior materials with superior craftsmanship resulting in a superior product as evidenced by this product's durability! I used my pair every day (rugged use) for 15 years before they needed to be resoled! I used them on all my climbing adventures on rock and ice, they made many ascents up, down, and around Rainier over the years.  The went through countless streams on hiking, fishing, hunting, and rafting trips. I jammed them in cracks  all… Full review

Eiger

rated 5 of 5 stars Hi hikers! I bought these and broke them in on many weekends of hiking through Chequamegon (WS) park doing every possible macho stream crossing to prepare them, and me, for two glorious weeks in the Bob Marshall Wilderness Area (MT) in the 1970s. They rock on rock - and roll... NEVER! In my dotage, I now wear Cole Hahn "Country". Style ain't design. I never had any broken skin with the Eigers. No problems, ever. I wore them daily after the little trek. We were soul mates. I was unable to convince… Full review

I'm an avid hiker/backpacker and also a siding/framing contractor and I wore these boots every day about 6 months out of the year. A few times I bought regular work boots so I could save these ones for hiking only but always trashed the other boots within 6 months and keep going back to my Raichles.   I've had Georgia, Danner, and Wolverine… Full review

60-Degree

rated 5 of 5 stars Bought mine on-line from Cotswold outdoor 2 years ago for £110. Because I bought them on-line I never got to try them on first but I got lucky and they fit great and are very comfortable for such a heavy boot. As a member of a Mountain Rescue team I wear these boots a lot in tough conditions and they have never let water in. The support is excellent and due to the extremely aggressive and deep tread you feel nothing through the sole.  The insole lacks a bit of padding but this can be solved by… Full review
