Out of the box comfortable. Very light. Kept feet very happy in wet snow on Ranier. Used coolmax liner and wool/synthetic blend trekking weight sock. Good traction and easy plunge step. Boot has a full length shank. Work well with my Grivel crampons (classic binding system).

Feel safe to use in all but the most extreme climates (I haven't to the most extreme climates yet). I generally use plastics, this was my first time with new generation leather, very impressed comfort and construction. I strongly recommend this boot based on comfort, weight, waterproofing, and traction. Happy Trekking.
