This jacket was obtained from Campmor, and is manufactured from a Taslan shell and Gore-tex lining. I must say I was a little apprehensive buying this, since its price was well below the average. However, it has proven to be one very durable and trustworthy jacket. It even has a pair of pants to match for $80! I can find no fault in this jacket at all. It is completely sealable, windproof, and waterproof. I have a great deal of respect for any item that can survive me! As far as all the Gore-tex laminates I have worn, this jacket has an equivalent breathability. An excellent choice for layering and the starving college student hiker, like me...
