Rating: rated 5 of 5 stars
Source: bought it new
Price Paid: About US$90

My wife has been using a Shocklight staff for about 5 years, and swears by it. Lightweight, collapsible but not when it shouldn't collapse. Really good for anyone with walking issues; highly recommended.

  • Easy to adjust
  • Light weight
  • Strong
  • Collapsible

  • None that I can find.

Very comfortable cork grip, stays dry, easy to clean. Easy to adjust and strong when locked. Seems to grip well on all kinds of terrain, including sidewalks and stairs.

My wife has used in travel all over the U.S., Turkey, China, Egypt, and Cuba since developing back issues a few years ago that make her shaky on her feet. Very happy with it and trying to find another just like it.

Here's what other sites are saying:

Anti-shock feature can be turned on and off with a twist of the pole; use the extra cushioning for going downhill, rigid support for uphill. Unique bayonet-style mechanism converts the hard-surface rubber walking tip to an all-terrain carbide tip for trail traction. Ergonomic cane-style cork grips offer a comfortable slip-resistant surface and a warm, natural feel. Three-section aluminum 7075-T6 shaft telescopes from 28 to 40 inches; Easy Lock adjustment system provides optimum lock with less tightening torque. Compacts easily to fit into or strap onto your pack.
