REI City and Trail Walker Shocklight

rated 5.0 of 5 stars
photo: REI City and Trail Walker Shocklight hiking staff

My wife has been using a Shocklight staff for about 5 years, and swears by it. Lightweight, collapsible but not when it shouldn't collapse. Really good for anyone with walking issues; highly recommended.

Pros

  • Easy to adjust
  • Light weight
  • Strong
  • Collapsible

Cons

  • None that I can find.

Very comfortable cork grip, stays dry, easy to clean. Easy to adjust and strong when locked. Seems to grip well on all kinds of terrain, including sidewalks and stairs.

My wife has used in travel all over the U.S., Turkey, China, Egypt, and Cuba since developing back issues a few years ago that make her shaky on her feet. Very happy with it and trying to find another just like it.
