"Our REI Slickrock shorts are garment washed for softness—sustainable fabric makes them even better! Toxic pesticides are eliminated in every step of the growing process of organic cotton, resulting in far less impact on the environment. Use of recycled PET polyester, sourced from old soda bottles, saves millions of barrels of oil consumption and tons of air emissions yearly. Fabric offers excellent protection from the sun, with a UPF 50+ rating. Plenty of storage in hand pockets, right hip key pocket, two cargo pockets and two rear patch pockets with mesh pleats and rip-and-stick closures. Right leg cargo pocket has internal cell phone pocket. Internal button elastic waistband with pliable mesh lining prevents chafing. Articulated knees allow comfortable range of motion with no tugging. Seat is reinforced for added durability. Machine washable for easy care."
