Here's what other sites are saying:

The REI Taku women's pants are a versatile option for your backcountry pursuits. Waterproof, breathable stretch fabric provides the ultimate in comfort and the ultimate in protection. Great for aerobic activities in cold conditions when you may encounter windy, wet weather; use them for alpine touring, climbing, snowshoeing and spring skiing. Seam-taped, breathable 3-layer REI Element(R) laminate blocks rain and winds to 60 mph; high-wear areas are reinforced to resist abrasion. 4-way stretch fabrics, articulated knees, gusseted crotch and athletic fit allow unrestricted movement. Internal back elastic belt adjusts waist circumference with shaped rip-and-stick tabs; zip fly and snap closure. Soft, brushed tricot waistband lining wicks moisture away from body. Thigh vents allow air movement and help regulate body temperature. Lower leg zippers with 3 in. wide gussets fit easily over footwear; hem drawcords cinch the fit. 2 hand pockets feature welded, water-resistant zippers; rear pocket has flap closure.
