Mountainsmith Tour TLS

rated 5 of 5 stars Some people might think a fanny pack will make you look like a nerd. But its durability and comfort make the Mountainsmith Tour TLS pack a great choice for day hikes, cross country skiing, and using as a man-purse (or lady purse) around town. Fit: This fanny lumbar pack will fit most adults. The heavier you are, the less coverage you'll get from the light padding on the hipbelt. I have a 32 inch waist, and I might get nervous if I was skinnier than a 30 inch waist. Mountainsmith says it will work… Full review

Nathan Intensity

rated 4.5 of 5 stars The Nathan Intensity running vest is an excellent woman-specific pack for running medium to long distances. With a 70-ounce reservoir and pockets for gels and chews, it has plenty of capacity to cover several hours on the run year-round. Plus, it’s comfortable for hours and stable with no bounce. Best For: I highly recommend the Nathan Intensity to other women who run at least several hours at a time on trails or roads. Men may want to check out the HPL 020 model. Fit The Nathan Intensity is a… Full review

CamelBak Day Star

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Best as a daypack for light hiking, day trips, overnights, and city exploring. Also usable for commutes and school. Fit: Women and teens. The straps fit very well on large to mid-size chests. Adjustable shoulder straps and light chest strap.  Capacity: Hydration pocket fits two liter-bladder. The larger pocket can fit enough regular clothing for 2-3 nights or heavier outdoor gear for 1 night. It can also fit smaller textbooks and up to a 14-inch laptop. The smaller pocket is ideal for any smaller… Full review

Ultimate Direction PB Adventure Vest

rated 5 of 5 stars I rarely write a review where I don't have a con. I looked long and hard for one on this piece of gear, but really couldn't find it, at least in functionality. I'm a bigger runner, so I notice that you must get the bigger size with this product or it just will be too small. I love the amount of gear it can carry, very versatile if you don't want to put a bottle in you can use that pocket for a myriad of other uses.   Great gear for both road and trail. Highly recommend.   Full review

Blackhawk! Barrage Hydration Pack

rated 4 of 5 stars A heavy-duty "military style" 3-day pack that is designed to last forever, no matter what you do with it. Although BlackHawk! categorizes it as a hydration pack, I believe the hydration bladder is a small portion of this pack. I purchased this pack prior to a deployment overseas in 2008 and it still looks brand new today. In between being an every day carry item thru Kuwait and Afghanistan, it has also been used as a day pack for hikes and hunting. As well as a great commuter bag and travel bag. … Full review

Osprey Viper 7

rated 4 of 5 stars Huge Osprey Fan. I've owned three Osprey packs, and will likely own more in my future. This is a simple, do all pack for biking or quick hikes. Bought this on Steep and Cheap for a song, so it was a win no matter the outcome. This is a simple hydration pack that has plenty of features for everything you do. Great for mountain biking. Big enough for rain layer, snacks and tools, has hemet lock also. I also use mine as a quick daypack. Great for my First Aid, SOL kit and snacks. Stretchy outer stuff… Full review

Osprey Mira 26

rated 5 of 5 stars This is a great little pack for the money. I'm an ultralight hiker and I can make this little pack work well for multi-day hikes. I'm an ultralight hiker. I can pack a hammock, straps, food, and change of clothing all in this pack. The rain cover pocket works great for a change of clothes or the legs to your shorts. I can put enough in it for about four days. The trampoline back I can take or leave; when you're hot and sweat is pouring off of you nothing short of being indoors will help. I love… Full review

CamelBak Charge LR 70 Oz Hydration Pack

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Awesome pack for biking. Great for day hikes and biking. Lots of room for gear. Only drawback is that the last few oz of water are difficult to drink due to the bladder configuration. Full review

Teton Sports Oasis 1100

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Great product for day hikes, music festivals, or even just long-distance traveling. Plenty of room for stuff with several smaller, individual compartments. Includes a rain cover and plenty of straps for attaching other gear. Great value compared to other brands given the high performance. Highly recommended. Straps and pack fit me well (I'm an average size 6' male). Advertised volume is accurate, fits a good bit of gear. Pack rides well even when full and heavy with water. Product is well-constructed.
