Blackhawk! Barrage Hydration Pack

rated 4 of 5 stars A heavy-duty "military style" 3-day pack that is designed to last forever, no matter what you do with it. Although BlackHawk! categorizes it as a hydration pack, I believe the hydration bladder is a small portion of this pack. I purchased this pack prior to a deployment overseas in 2008 and it still looks brand new today. In between being an every day carry item thru Kuwait and Afghanistan, it has also been used as a day pack for hikes and hunting. As well as a great commuter bag and travel bag. … Full review

Nalgene 32 oz Narrow Mouth Tritan

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Used on the trail for a long time, but there are many more lightweight options now so I use it at work and day-to-day now. Full review

Platypus Hoser

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Great reservoir, no taste or smell, and no leaks. I've been a hiker for a while now and have always used a simple Nalgene bottle, but finally gave in and purchased this 3L Platypus reservoir to go in a reservoir compatible day pack I already owned.   My first issue was that the sleeve in the day pack was too small for this enormous water bladder. Once I got it situated in my pack and routed the hose I was all set. The advantage of course is that when I want a drink I don't have to try and contort… Full review

Osprey Viper 7

rated 4 of 5 stars Huge Osprey Fan. I've owned three Osprey packs, and will likely own more in my future. This is a simple, do all pack for biking or quick hikes. Bought this on Steep and Cheap for a song, so it was a win no matter the outcome. This is a simple hydration pack that has plenty of features for everything you do. Great for mountain biking. Big enough for rain layer, snacks and tools, has hemet lock also. I also use mine as a quick daypack. Great for my First Aid, SOL kit and snacks. Stretchy outer stuff… Full review

Osprey Mira 26

rated 5 of 5 stars This is a great little pack for the money. I'm an ultralight hiker and I can make this little pack work well for multi-day hikes. I'm an ultralight hiker. I can pack a hammock, straps, food, and change of clothing all in this pack. The rain cover pocket works great for a change of clothes or the legs to your shorts. I can put enough in it for about four days. The trampoline back I can take or leave; when you're hot and sweat is pouring off of you nothing short of being indoors will help. I love… Full review

MSR DromLite Bag

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Light and effective water supply bag for backpacking. I've used the 6L sized bag for many years. I carry it empty until near camp and then fill it as a water supply for around camp. These DromLite bags are a little lighter than the black MSR Dromedary bags. They are sufficiently durable for backpacking. I've never had any leakage issues, and the contents have never had a bad taste. I once had to replace a bag that was punctured by a pair of teeth from a pesky rodent wandering around camp at night… Full review

MSR Dromedary Bags

rated 5 of 5 stars I have borrowed the 10L dromedary from a friend a few times and love it! I have this dromedary on my list as one of my next purchases for sure. This dromedary stands up to a lot more than a plastic dromedary will. I have used it on a few treks and absolutely love it. It is very convenient that I am able to attach the dromedary to my backpack, instead of having to lug something by hand around to have water. Full review

CamelBak Charge LR 70 Oz Hydration Pack

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Awesome pack for biking. Great for day hikes and biking. Lots of room for gear. Only drawback is that the last few oz of water are difficult to drink due to the bladder configuration. Full review

Teton Sports Oasis 1100

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Great product for day hikes, music festivals, or even just long-distance traveling. Plenty of room for stuff with several smaller, individual compartments. Includes a rain cover and plenty of straps for attaching other gear. Great value compared to other brands given the high performance. Highly recommended. Straps and pack fit me well (I'm an average size 6' male). Advertised volume is accurate, fits a good bit of gear. Pack rides well even when full and heavy with water. Product is well-constructed.
