Geigerrig Tactical 1600

rated 4.5 of 5 stars This amazing hydration pack has an almost indestructible hydration engine that is easy to clean and room to bring everything you need for any daylong adventure. Disclaimer: I was provided with this pack by Geigerrig to trial and review. I have had a Geigerrig Rig 1600 (their non-tactical pack of the same capacity) that I purchased as a consumer two years ago, and throughout this review I will make comparisons between the two. (Left: Rig 1600 Tactical, Right: Rig 1600)THE SHORT REVIEW I LOVE THIS… Full review

CamelBak Scout

rated 4 of 5 stars Although marketed as a child's hiking pack, the Scout can be used by adults as well. It's lightweight and has enough space for a small amount of gear and snacks, and comes with a 1.5 litre water reservoir. Offering minimal shift, I have used this pack as an introductory running pack. I would recommend the Scout to anyone interested in getting into endurance running, particularly if they are on a budget. As a 5 foot tall adult beginning to take running more seriously, I was thrilled to find this… Full review

CamelBak Rim Runner

rated 3 of 5 stars Overall good product. Use for longer day hikes. A generally good product. The straps can cause a little fatigue around the neck and shoulder on longer hikes. Definitely for walking and NOT running. Holds plenty of water with additional side pockets for two water bottles. easy access to gear with a full zip opening. Holds plenty of food/gear for a full day of hiking. For taller people the waist strap rides high and is better just taken off. It is great for hydration with an easy to fill large Camelbak… Full review

Geigerrig Rig 700M

rated 5 of 5 stars These are the best packs I've ever used! High quality materials and well engineered. I bought my first pack for mtn biking. Since then I've gotten rid of all of my other packs and replaced them all with Geigerrig. What sold me on the quality was a Saturday mountain biking trip. On a fast (30+mph) downhill section the rider in front me went down. I also went down and landed on a rock the size of a cantaloup. I didn't feel it due to the pressurized bladder. The only damage was a blown zipper. One… Full review

Geigerrig Rig 1200

rated 5 of 5 stars Best out there!!! I own four Geigerrigs! The Rig, Guardian, 700 and 1200. One of these packs are used daily depending on my task for the day. My 1200 is used to pack in along with the rest of the my gear I carry to my cabin. From there my Rig takes over.  The 1200, like the others, has a hydration engine like no other! Being able to feel pressurize and spray water is a must in the back country. Being able to irrigate a wound, give your dog water, wash out your eyes, rinse dished etc. and unlike… Full review

Ultimate Direction Fastpack 15

rated 4.5 of 5 stars A great pack for long days in the mountains; even a bare bones overnighter. I've now had about dozen mountain runs in the 18-25 mile range with this pack and can state unequivocally, it's a keeper. This is really a nice sized pack for an all day adventure; with its stretch pockets it's very close to 20 liters. I typically have mine loaded with 6-8 lbs (about 1/2 that in water). Pack carries very nicely—no bounce or sway and it's very comfortable. The pockets are laid out nicely and easy to access. Full review

Amphipod PURErun Trail Stainless 16oz

rated 4 of 5 stars A great running pack with space for a snack and a bottle. Also has space for a shirt removal. I was able to fit a full size men's bi-fold wallet into the pocket, although it is not really designed for that much. Pack is very comfortable, sits surprisingly well during constant activity. This is a good pack that is comfortable to wear even during the most intense activities. I wore it for work during 95-degree weather, stacking heavy objects and furniture onto pallets in the direct sunlight for three… Full review

CamelBak BlowFish

rated 4 of 5 stars Great multi-sport must-have! Whether you are hiking, cycling, fishing, or just plain walking, you'll have a hard time finding a product with greater utility. No more bottles rolling around stabbing you in the kidney, no more fumbling through endless pockets searching for a drink! I was given a red Camelbak Blowfish just after my sister gave me a mountain bike. It is hard to say which product was more useful, because Camelbak is built for survival. It holds your money, keys, and quite a bit of gear… Full review

Osprey Manta AG 28

rated 5 of 5 stars Osprey's Manta 28 is the perfect day hiking pack to carry layers, water, and a snack. With Osprey's Anti-Gravity back panel ventilation and foam shoulder straps, this pack sets you up for a cool smooth hike. The free rain cover and water bladder complement the many other features this pack has to offer. My use: I got this pack 3.5 years ago for day hikes and have been using it ever since. I normally hike around 10 miles on day hikes in the New Hampshire Whites or the Green Mountains in Vermont. Full review
