Inov-8 Race Pro 4

rated 5 of 5 stars My go-to short distance, sub 2 hour, trail runner pack. This has been a great purchase. I have a variety of running packs I use dependent on where and how long I intend to run. This pack is great for sub 2 hour runs.  The fit is superb. It cinches tight and does not jiggle nor loosen during my runs. It is very comfortable to wear. The capacity is as advertised. Internally the bag fits my first aid kit, spare socks, tissues, and waterproof jacket.  The external bungee straps I put my ultralight… Full review

Mountainsmith Kinetic II

rated 4.5 of 5 stars My go-to hip pack. Napolean Dynamite would be proud. For bumming around outside of town, I love this pack. Big enough to hold snacks, camera, and drinks. It's comfortable, easy to work with and holds up. Overall it's great. Fit: Snug and ergonomic Comfort: Padded, good Capacity: Just enough for what you need for a day Organization and accessibility: I wish the drink pockets were just a tad deeper so it could hold store bought water bottles a bit more secure. If I transfer my drinks into the classic… Full review

Nathan Mirage Pak

rated 4 of 5 stars This pack is perfect for the minimalist at heart, but beware of bounce with a smartphone. I'd buy it again even with its shortcomings. This pack is all you need when you don't need much. I like to run with a car key, cell phone and some cash/card. For anything long enough to need more stuff, I carry a different pack. The Mirage is wonderfully expandable and will hold odd shaped items and much larger things than you might imagine. It weighs nearly nothing and dries out very quickly. It has a built-in… Full review

CamelBak Alpine Explorer

rated 5 of 5 stars Excellent! This has become my go-to day pack. Purchased this pack in 2011 and after much use it's still going strong. Is my favorite day pack. Has an easily removable waist strap (never need or use it). Shoulder/sternum straps are well placed and comfortable. Pack rides very nicely. It holds plenty of gear for summer trips and most 3-season hikes. Pack has a several sections and a couple of nice smaller pockets (e.g., micro-lined pocket on top for glasses). All in all a nice design. Should I ever… Full review

CamelBak Fourteener

rated 4 of 5 stars Great pack for day trips. I bought this pack in 2014, so mine is most likely a newer model, than what is pictured. I can add pictures of mine, if anyone is curious.  This pack fits me great, I am 6'2" and about 195 lbs. and have no issues with the straps being long enough, in fact there is plenty for it to fit some one taller and larger than myself. As for comfort I have used a few other day packs (Osprey, which I enjoy) and this one is my favorite. The padding on the back and the belt is comfortable… Full review

Mountainsmith Tour TLS

rated 5 of 5 stars Some people might think a fanny pack will make you look like a nerd. But its durability and comfort make the Mountainsmith Tour TLS pack a great choice for day hikes, cross country skiing, and using as a man-purse (or lady purse) around town. Fit: This fanny lumbar pack will fit most adults. The heavier you are, the less coverage you'll get from the light padding on the hipbelt. I have a 32 inch waist, and I might get nervous if I was skinnier than a 30 inch waist. Mountainsmith says it will work… Full review

Nathan Intensity

rated 4.5 of 5 stars The Nathan Intensity running vest is an excellent woman-specific pack for running medium to long distances. With a 70-ounce reservoir and pockets for gels and chews, it has plenty of capacity to cover several hours on the run year-round. Plus, it’s comfortable for hours and stable with no bounce. Best For: I highly recommend the Nathan Intensity to other women who run at least several hours at a time on trails or roads. Men may want to check out the HPL 020 model. Fit The Nathan Intensity is a… Full review

CamelBak Day Star 18

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Best as a daypack for light hiking, day trips, overnights, and city exploring. Also usable for commutes and school. Fit: Women and teens. The straps fit very well on large to mid-size chests. Adjustable shoulder straps and light chest strap.  Capacity: Hydration pocket fits two liter-bladder. The larger pocket can fit enough regular clothing for 2-3 nights or heavier outdoor gear for 1 night. It can also fit smaller textbooks and up to a 14-inch laptop. The smaller pocket is ideal for any smaller… Full review

Ultimate Direction PB Adventure Vest

rated 5 of 5 stars I rarely write a review where I don't have a con. I looked long and hard for one on this piece of gear, but really couldn't find it, at least in functionality. I'm a bigger runner, so I notice that you must get the bigger size with this product or it just will be too small. I love the amount of gear it can carry, very versatile if you don't want to put a bottle in you can use that pocket for a myriad of other uses.   Great gear for both road and trail. Highly recommend.   Full review
