Exotac NanoStriker XL

rated 5 of 5 stars This little striker works in any weather conditions and after being submerged. And it weighs about the same as a Bic lighter, but you get twice as many strikes. I have used the Exotac NanoStiker XL for approximately one year in all conditions, including winter camping. This striker is super dependable and durable. You could drop it of a cliff into a river, pull it out and it will still work. I like the way the case seals both the rod and striker off from the elements. There is also a bit of room… Full review

ClickHeat Hand/Pocket Warmer

rated 2 of 5 stars Stays warm for little time, needs boiling. Same experience. They last only for half an hour and then need to be boiled for a couple of minutes (10-15). I also had the same experience with a seller who was lying directly. He stated that it is perfectly sufficient to put it in hot water for five minutes. I asked a few times if this is really true and he answered it is definitely true. If you go skiing and use it to warm the kids' hands, it is actually for one use only in the day. If it was enough… Full review

Coghlan's Deluxe Mosquito Head Net

rated 5 of 5 stars This mosquito head netting is great. I used it deer hunting two weeks ago because mosquitos are so bad and all I could hear was them buzzing my head, so we all use them now all the time. I would recommend this for use with small children too. The netting is strong and light and the whole headgear is not heavy on your head. Full review

pStyle

rated 5 of 5 stars pStyle allows active women to be able to go to the bathroom without having to sit, squat, or pull your drawers down! I use this for ALL my outdoor activities and for road trips. You can discreetly go to the bathroom without having to expose all or search for a place to do it. It's even great for porta-potties! This amazing product has been discovered mostly by word of mouth among active women seeking an easier, more discreet way to go to the bathroom while doing outdoor activities. Most of us had… Full review

Sawyer Stay-Put Sunscreen SPF 30

rated 5 of 5 stars This is the one to use. Period. Even if it requires some effort to find it. Full review

Sawyer Stay-Put Sunscreen SPF 30

rated 5 of 5 stars When you think of Sawyer, you probably are thinking “water filters.” My first thought when I saw Sawyer was selling a sunscreen was, “It can’t be very good. Companies should stick to what they know.” However, after a summer of use, I strongly assert Sawyer’s “Stay Put” SPF 30 Sunscreen is the best sun protection product I have ever used. When Trailspace honored me as the Reviewer of the Month in May 2016, they sent me a prize package made up of the “10 Essentials.” Included in… Full review

Garcia Backpackers' Cache

rated 4 of 5 stars This is a very good value. It's not the lightest out there, but it's also not the most expensive: with reasonable gear choices, I can afford the extra weight. Unless you have room inside your pack, you'll need the optional carrying case. I bought this can several years ago, when I returned to backpacking after a too-long hiatus. Bear cans are mandatory through much of the Sierra Nevada. Although I prefer the wide opening and clear body of the BearVault, just opening one in the store was a real—wait… Full review

Perfect Fitness Cooling Towel

rated 0.5 of 5 stars I, too, ended up with a nasty poison-like rash on my neck, face, forehead, and arms — every single place that I had used the towel. I ended up going to an Urgent Care facility and they gave me a regimen of prednisone. This is a horrible product. My husband used my towel just a couple times that same day on his arms and got a small rash that went away with Benadryl. I WIIL NOT BE BUYING THIS PRODUCT AGAIN AND HAVE ALREADY DISCARDED THE ONE I HAVE.  TOTALLY NOT WORTH THE MONEY! Full review

Sabre Pepper Spray

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Small, readily available via pocket or strap fixed for your defense in the woods or the street. This unit has a clip fixed to the spray canister allowing it to be as available as a pen or small pocket knife. The unit sprays up to 10 feet when the wind is favorable. I carry the unit all the time, just in case... Sparky 2000. As noted, don't allow children or idiots to get their hands on this unit. But for you the law in most states will allow the unit to be useful if needed as the spray will disallow… Full review
