User Review: Salomon Cosmic 4D GTX

Rating: rated 5 of 5 stars
Source: bought it new
Price Paid: $140

Summary

I've had a pair of Quest and Cosmic boots from Salomon in the last 4 years, both boots have what I'm looking for. Roomy toe box, true to size, narrow heel pocket and good flexibility for trail and off trail hiking.

Pros

  • Out of box comfort
  • Roomy

Cons

  • Would need a desert boot for cactus country

Hands down best midweight hiker, backpacker boots they've owned. I've owned stiffer, heavier, pricier boots but I would take these over all takers from best brands out there.

Again they fit a narrow heel with a roomier toe box, the lacing is great and holds foot in place. Comfort is straight out of the box, no pressure points, handles snow, rain, mud, never leaked.  =Good high ankle support with a wide tread base for stability.
