Salomon Extend Mid

I like this shoe for dayhikes and weekenders, but…

Rating: rated 4 of 5 stars
Materials: Leather
Use: Dayhikes
Break-in Period: 2 months, 2-3 hour dayhikes
Weight: 180 lbs.
Price Paid: $65

I like this shoe for dayhikes and weekenders, but not for anything longer. The toecap is easily compressable, there's not as much ankle support as I'd like. On that note, the ankle support issue has only popped up a few times, and the toecap will hold against exposed roots and small rock. Overall, a good shoe for short trips.
