Break-in Period: week or so
Price Paid: $100+
I like them - they seem to provide a tight fit if u want. If you don't want then you can keep them loose. The toe box is roomy but your foot doesn't slip in that area. The arch support is great.
I once read that this shoe slips and slides on wet downed tree should u step on the tree. I think this happens with all shoes - unless it's a true boot, maybe. On all other terrain this shoe is great. If you are orienteering or rogaining then I suggest a gaiter as I once had a steep slope and one rock went inside.
I've used it for trail running, orienteering, training, adventure racing and walking to work.
I would recommend it.
