User Review: Salomon XA Pro 2 XCR
|
Rating: ![]()
Materials: Goret-tex
Use: trail run, dayhikes
Break-in Period: none
Price Paid: 14,000 Yen
Excellent trail runner or light hiker as long as it won't get muddy.
The shoe feels comfortable from the first moment and keeps dry from the outside and inside.
It has only one problem: the "contra grip" sole gives you traction on paths that you can still run (i.e. you land on the heel and jump from the forefoot). If it goes downhill and becomes slippery, however, the only "contra" part of the sole is at your heels while the forefoot sole becomes a skate. So you have to glide down, or you try to balance it out on the heels...
