I've worn these shoes in the gym and on the trail for months and the equivalent of hundreds of miles. Carried @20lbs over several days and over 2000'+ up and down in the Harper Creek WSA in NC, and most recently on a one afternoon 15-mile wet hike down the Cattaloochee Divide over Hemphill Bald and via Caldwell Fork to the Boogerman Trail and out. I like 'em so much I'm getting a non gore-tex pair for the gym and dry-hot weather. By the way the XCR gore-tex keeps the feet dry and comfy inside AND out. The kevlar lacing is also very convenient.
