Oboz Men's Campster

rated 4 of 5 stars A lightweight slip-on water shoe with strong arch support and a grippy sole. Really good for walking on waterside trails—the polyester webbing’s forgiving feel is nice for walking, and the footbed holds your foot in place. Not ideal for steep sideways walks (eg walking along an angled riverbank). Though this is a fairly close-fitting shoe, I was able to wear them with a thin sock in colder weather. I liked the tilt up heel strap for times when I didn’t want something holding my heel. Has all… Full review

Teva Men's Terra Fi Lite

rated 2.5 of 5 stars OK on fit and comfort, but hard to put on because the arch strap won't open up enough. I have mainly used these as around-town and -camp shoes for the eight months I have been in Arizona. The main problem: the velcro sewn onto the arch strap for adjustment blocks the strap from opening up where it passes through a slot below the inside ankle. When I go to put my foot in the strap is tight against the top of my foot. This makes it so that I have to work, rather than just slide, my feet into the sandals,… Full review

Teva Men's Grecko

rated 5 of 5 stars Best sandals I've ever owned, hands down. I wore these hard for almost 13 years before the soles separated for the second time and could not be repaired. Incredibly durable and comfortable. I've tried on so many pairs of Chacos but none of them even come close to the Teva Greckos. I just stumbled across the name of this model after YEARS of searching, not that it probably matters at this point. I think they've been out of production for many years. I believe I bought mine around 2005 or 2006. … Full review

Bedrock Sandals Cairn Pro

rated 5 of 5 stars Bedrock's Cairn Pro is an unusual take on a minimal sandal. The most important distinction is the strapping, which is unlike any other sandal I have worn. For such a light sandal, the secure feel of the strapping and grip of the sole make these great for light hiking and being in and out of the water. The price and single front toe cord would be the primary bugaboos for some people. INTRODUCTION The Bedrock Cairn Pro is a lightweight sandal that swings well above its very low weight thanks to a… Full review

Chaco Men's Z/1 Unaweep

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Chaco's Z/1 Unaweep is a great canoeing sandal. While I do list out a number of cons, I would recommend these for anyone searching for a durable sandal. I purchased the Z/1 specifically for my first trip to the Boundary Waters in 2014. I wanted footwear that would allow me to wade in and out of a canoe and move straight into portaging. I choose the Z/1 over the more popular Z/2 so that I would be able to slip on a warm pair of wool socks if the night turned cool. I felt the toe strap of the Z/2… Full review

Keen Women's Newport H2

rated 5 of 5 stars Perfect i haven’t tried hiking with a pack on in hot weather with these, but they are my summer faves: walking, rock hopping through water, it’s all good. I needed no break-in period. These felt like a dream right out of the box. There’s a deep heel cup, generous arch support and roomy toe box. The lacing system is quick and easy, the sandals offer great traction on wet rock.   As comfy as my trusty old Birkenstocks, but completely amphibious. Can’t go wrong with these.   Full review

Xero Shoes Z-Trail Sandals

rated 2 of 5 stars I tried these on a couple of hikes, for use as a camp shoe, for swimming and creek crossing, etc. But I soon gave up on them, not just due to the poor sole protection and the lateral movement that were cited, but also due to dirt and gravel quickly getting into the sandals (drier conditions) and water (wetter conditions). The lightweight simply wasn't worth it to me. I recommend something sturdier unless you have ideal trail conditions and feet that can handle the stress. Added: Try "Gold Pigeon"… Full review

Chaco Men's Z/1 Classic

rated 4.5 of 5 stars These sandals will keep you comfortable all day long. They are sturdy, have good traction, and will hold up no matter what you put them through. These are one of the best sandals you can buy. I have gone on numerous float trips and even a 5-mile hike in the mountains in them and they have held up. They have pretty good traction so you can hike fairly well in them. I also never have gotten any blisters in them. One downside is that when walking in water they tend to get pea gravel stuck between the… Full review

Tredagain Guadalupe Sandal

rated 4 of 5 stars Tredagain not only makes quality shoes, but they are environmentally aware while they make great footwear. Occasionally, I get the awesome opportunity to review products in exchange for an honest review. This time, I had the pleasure of testing out a pair of sandals by Tredagain! The Tredagain Guadalupe Sandal rocks out on their specialty...recycled rubber from tires. Here is a quote from their site about what they do: "TREDAGAIN partners with Austin Rubber Company LLC which manufactures a de-vulcanized… Full review
