User Review: Scarpa Alp
Rating: ![]()
Materials: Leather
Use: Heavy hiking---light mountaineering
Break-in Period: Two days around the house, two more walking a couple of miles
Weight: 4 something I think
Price Paid: $169
Could not be happier with these boots. They are quite beefy and if you are just going to be doing flat trails, thay might be overkill.
I took them up to the mountain the other day and they handled themselves quite nicely on the packed snow and even floated well in the powder.
The only complaint that I have is that the laces do not like to stay tied, I have not figured out how to keep them laced up as of yet for longer than 2-3 hundred yards.
Over all great boot!!!!
