User Review: Scarpa Freney Lite
Rating: ![]()
Materials: Leather, Crosta Idro 3mm
Use: rough trail, 30 to 40+ slope & rock ascent
Break-in Period: 40 hrs
Price Paid: $220 US
This boot is unbelievable for people with feet that have prominces such as heal spurs, wide sole, and high arches, you name it. I broke this boot in within a couple of days.
No metal or other protruding lace components, all loop nylon web, very tough, no stretching so far, but good tension over the whole head.
This boot is even comfortable for approch due to its light weight and oddly 'snappy' reflex. Not quite a tech. ice boot, but stiff enough for toe biting and basic B2 ice.
I will be wearing these out fast because I won't be changing out of them so often -- very much a multi-terrain boot.
