Blurring the lines between double and single boots, the Scarpa Phantom Lite mountaineering boots deliver the warmth of doubles with the precision, flexibility and weight of singles. The balance of warmth and performance makes these an excellent choice for technical ice and mixed climbing. Lorica® synthetic leather uppers are laminated to felt for superb performance and feel. PrimaLoft® polyester insulation layer supplies impressive protection against frigid temps while minimizing weight and bulk. Nylon linings wick moisture away from feet to keep them dry and comfortable. Low-profile, integrated gaiters cover boot uppers to fend off precipitation and deliver protection; gaiters secure with T-ZIP waterproof zipper and cinchable cordlock at cuff. Burly medial-side reinforcement patches protect boots from abrasion and accidental crampon snags. Full rubber randing protects feet and uppers from abrasion and impact while helping edging effectiveness; elasticized rear randing facilitates efficient heel lock. Durable, shock-absorbing polyurethane midsoles supply all-day cushioning and insulating comfort. Polypropylene midsole plates provide a lightweight, stiff and supportive platform for excellent performance and feel. Vibram® Dual outsoles deliver dependable traction on various surfaces and work with step-in, strap-on or GSb crampons (sold separately).
