Scarpa SL's are an excellent boot. I hiked the first 1,000 miles of the Appalachian Trail with non-SL boots and had nothing but problems. I broke in my SLs on the trail and my boot problems went away in week one. The boots have well over a 1,000 miles and are holding up GREAT. Go get a pair.
