If I was allowed only one piece of footware this is it. By far the best boot I have ever owned. It is relatively stiff and took a full 3 months of everyday wear to break-in, but once it did wow what a comfortable fit. I never experienced a blister or hot spot during break-in...just a stiff boot. I considere my self an ultralight backpacker, however, I can not force myself to head out with anything less than a sturdy boot. I hate having to worry about where I'm going to step or getting my boots wet and all the stuff one needs to consider when wearing light weight shoes/boots while hiking. I'll put my Scarpas up against any boot on the market! Vasque, Asolo, etc. tried them all and there is no comparison. Buy these boots and you will own them for life.
