User Review: Scarpa SL
Rating: ![]()
Materials: Leather
Use: Light to Heavy Packing
Break-in Period: 50+ Miles
Weight: Boots = 4.5 lbs, Me = 175 lbs
Price Paid: $219
Am an experienced mountaineer. Read all the great reviews of this boot. My experience was quite different. Break-in was hell. Had to wear pads on top of my foot because the pain from the crease (created under normal hiking conditions) in the heavy leather was unbearable. Feet have gotten wet from a day of light rain hiking. Boots are broken in now, more comfortable, but the insole leaves something to be desired. Won't buy this boot again.
