Columbia Featherweight Hike Long Sleeve Shirt

rated 4 of 5 stars This shirt is a great warm weather performer, providing extra sun protection and bug protection for your arms while remaining cool and dry. With minimal weight and bulk, the thru-hiker can transition from trail to town in style! Construction This Featherweight Hike Long Sleeve Shirt is constructed of 100% antimicrobial treated nylon. It has a UPF rating of 25. The super thin fabric allows this shirt to compact very tightly into a ball the size of a small grapefruit.  The feel of the nylon is very… Full review

Arc'teryx Lana Comp Shirt LS

rated 4.5 of 5 stars The women's Lana and men's Pelion Comp Shirts LS offer up a durable, breathable shirt that lives up to its Arc'teryx branding. At 5 ounces, the crewneck shirt packs a wide range of uses into a light shirt. The wool blend—a wool yarn outer-layer mated with a nylon core—tolerates a wide range of temperature like wool will do, but it is coupled with lightweight nylon rip-stop style sleeves (which breathe), that I found let in the cold during winter wear. This shirt is marketed as a summer weight… Full review

Patagonia Men's R1 Hoody

rated 4.5 of 5 stars The old version zipped along the side of the face so as the zipper wasn't on your nose, my opinion old version is better. 160 lbs. 5'10" medium. The R1 pictured is a small. It is on the tight side, but I love this version and it was a great price. Great mid layer, I wear mine over a T-shirt while hiking. When I'm at the summit I'll zip up over the nose, put on my sunglasses and maybe a light down hoody jacket. Full review

Arc'teryx Elaho Shirt LS

rated 4.5 of 5 stars The Arc'teryx Elaho long-sleeve shirt is great for hiking on those hot and sticky summer days. Sleeves can be worn long or secured up to cool off even more. The stretchable fabric is surprisingly durable for being so lightweight. If you want one shirt for multi-day trips or even thru-hikes, the Elaho offers the durability, weight, and comfort for you. About the Reviewer I am 5'9", 160 lbs, average build. I have a 40" chest and 31" sleeve length measured as described on the Arc'teryx size chart… Full review

Pearl Izumi Men's P.R.O Fly Evo Pullover

rated 4.5 of 5 stars It stops ALL wind, all snow, keeps out a surprising amount of the cold, breathes exceedingly well, sheds light rain, and, if it gets wetted out in a heavier rain, it drys quickly. It has more reflective trim than anything I have ever seen. It is durable. Great for biking or running in cool to cold weather, especially in cities where lighting is not good at night. Highly recommended. This really is almost the miracle outer layer for bikers (and I hear that runners like it too). It is so thin, it… Full review

Swanndri Original Wool Bushshirt

rated 5 of 5 stars The Swanndri Bush shirt in New Zealand has been around for nearly 100 years (just the same as the Empire Wool and Canvas Company Boreal Shirt), pure wool, water and wind proof and almost the uniform for serious outdoor types. A true life saver. So glad that it has been copied in the U.S., that's a real compliment. Full review

Empire Wool and Canvas Company Boreal Shirt

rated 5 of 5 stars This is the most awesome piece of winter clothing I have ever had! Made from 100% wool blankets, it is seriously warm...even when wet. The hood is intelligently designed, gives full coverage with or without a hat, holds in the heat, and doesn't obstruct vision. The Boreal Shirt is made by Empire Wool and Canvas. It is sold exclusively through Lester River Bushcraft.   Like all products from Empire Wool and Canvas, the Boreal Shirt is built like a truck. It has been, by far, the most successful… Full review

Ibex Hunters Point Pullover

rated 5 of 5 stars Well made, warm, and durable sweater made of wool fleece. Good for casual and active wear. This sweater is billed as a men's but fits women too, although the arms will be a bit long for women. It is soft and comfortable, and much warmer than you would expect. It is also rather wind resistant. The fabric is really amazing. It dries faster than most wool, almost as fast as synthetics. All the cozy warmth and odor resistance of wool. If you are looking for the advantages of fleece, but in 100% natural… Full review

Patagonia Men's Synchilla Snap-T

rated 5 of 5 stars This is a great pullover and I love the lifestyle statement it makes when wearing. Patagonia is one of the best companies in the world and I love supporting them. This Snap-T is warm, functional, and works in some less technical layering systems. It's great for rest days and just relaxing in on sunny spring, fall, and winter days. I have worn my Snap-T at Red Rocks, Garden of the Gods, Cheyenne Canyon, Bear Creek Dog Park, etc on sunny fall, winter, and spring days. This pullover is great on it… Full review
