Price Paid: $130

Summary

This thing not only keeps me warm on those chilly nights, but also keeps my dry on those misty nights! The DriDown technology SD has created is superior to all other down products. This jacket is lightweight and still keeps me toasty warm!

Pros

  • Light
  • Warm
  • DRY!

Cons

  • Sizing is a little larger than expected.

This thing is a champ. I have brushed against a few sharp edges here and there while wearing this jacket, and to my surprise no holes were formed!

Great for under a shell on colder days or as an outer layer when temps are more manageable, the Gnar Lite jacket features 800 fill DriDown(TM) hydrophobic insulation for outstanding warmth, even on cold, damp days. Very light and compressible, the Gnar Lite goes anywhere. The Gnar Lite was highlighted by Outside magazine as one of the "The 7 Best Multi-Use Jackets of 2013" Simply put, DriDown(TM) represents the evolution of down insulation. Regular down is treated with a molecular level polymer to create a hydrophobic finish on each individual down plume. This finish allows DriDown(TM) to stay dry longer, loft better, and dry faster than regular down, keeping you warmer in any environment.
