Rating: rated 1 of 5 stars
Design: mummy
Fill: Thinsulate Lite Loft
Temperature Rating: 0 F
Weight: 4
Price Paid: $160

I have now had this bag for about 3.5 years. It was great at first, but every year it has gotten colder and less lofty. Now it only lofts up to about 2.5 inches, less than half of what it used to do. I took it on a snowcamping trip last weekend and we had great Sierra winter weather, and I was cold even with my fleece on in the bag. Compare this to when I first got it, and took it on a trip to Lassen in the middle of winter; it was cold outside but the sleeping bag was nice and warm without any clothes on.

By the way, I always stored this bag well, on a shelf in the garage, not stuffed in a stuff sack. And I have washed it twice in a front-loader washer like they recommend.

I absolutely will never buy another liteloft bag again!

A very warm bag for its weight. I have been camping in temperatures near the teens and haven't been cold yet. Bag dries great. There have been many occasions when I have had to stuff the bag damp, but after a day of hiking the bag comes out dry. Durability still a queston since I have only had the bag for six months.

I have had this bag for 6 years and have not stored it compressed. It has only been washed four times always according to the manufacturers directions. The insulation started losing its loft almost immediately. Within 2 years I started noticing clumping of the insulation. My advice is stay away from Lite Loft.

I'm quite pleased with this bag. It's always kept me warm, is plenty long (I'm 6'5") and comes in cool colors too! Everything about this bag says quality, though I haven't had it long enough to be able to give long term wear info.
