Klymit Static V

rated 5 of 5 stars Why sleep poorly anymore? Was searching for more comfort sleeping outside, was gonna buy the NeoAir until I saw this product by Klymit. $45 delivered to my door two years ago. Weight was as advertised. Yeah, you gotta blow it up, but who cares. Size of a Nalgene, 19 oz, $45, and 2.5 inches of snoozing joy! Full review

Klymit Insulated Static V

rated 3.5 of 5 stars Overall, not bad. It packs up small and is very light. I weigh 210 and did not bottom out the pad in any position. It is very comfortable. The only issue I ran into was deflating the pad when it was time to pack up. Numerous attempts to get all the air out even with the valve completely open and unblocked. The temperatures I used this pad in were ranging between 5 and 15 degrees F over one week. Honestly, I could not tell a difference between this pad and my summer pad. I was using a very… Full review

Big Agnes Two Track

rated 5 of 5 stars The best pad, period. Just attach it under the lid at the top of you pack, and you are good to go. A pad that keeps you warm down to -25 degrees. Comes with a repair kit in the stuff sack. Will need to blow a bit of air into the pad after it self inflates, especially if you've stored it in it's stuff sack. Used it recently in sub 40 degree weather, and had a Lafuma 35-degree bag zipped around my feet and then unzipped and draped over my body and I was very comfortable. To pack down to its smallest… Full review

Camp-Tek Microburst

rated 5 of 5 stars I use this on a Therm-a-Rest NeoAir and have had zero problems and never did all the stuff described in another post. I just hooked it up, went to filter some water, and came back to a FIRM air mattress. I even have to let air out of my Therm-a-Rest to make it comfortable. I love it. Can't add much to what was already said. Full review

Big Agnes Insulated Air Core

rated 5 of 5 stars Big Agnes Insulated Air Core is a very comfortable, rugged sleeping pad for car-camping as well as backpacking. Spending a bit more money on a high-quality sleeping pad beats cheap discount store sleeping mattresses in the long-run. I already threw out two queen-sized air mattresses on car-camping trips at a cost of about $70. Since I already own two Big Agnes Q-Core sleeping pads for backpacking, I decided to buy the cheaper, heavier Big Agnes Insulated Air Core for car-camping at a cost of $80. Full review

Exped SynMat UL 7

rated 4.5 of 5 stars A comfortable compact mattress which is competitively priced, but let down by the stowage bag. I really like this mattress, it is cheaper than the Therm-a-Rest NeoAir, much more comfortable than my more traditional self-inflating mattress, and I got a really comfortable night's sleep on it. I would be happy to use it in all but the coldest of conditions in this country. Unlike self-inflating mattresses it needs to be blown up, which takes more time and effort. This may not seem like a big deal,… Full review

The Instaflator

rated 5 of 5 stars Thanks, LoneStranger. I use the Instaflator and like it as well. I've been using the Instaflator for a while. Great when you've had a hard day at altitude where the air is thin and you just don't want to take the time and effort to blow up by mouth, especially for the 20+ puffs to blow up a wide/long pad. I also figure that mouth-inflating will introduce moisture from my breath to the inside of my pad, which over time will add weight, so the Instaflator probably saves its own weight, and possibly… Full review

Klymit Inertia XL Recon

rated 5 of 5 stars Very light, very compact, minimalistic sleeping pad for someone willing to try something different. Here you can watch the review. Have fun. Full review

The Instaflator

rated 4 of 5 stars Simple, easy to use, human powered tool for filling sleep pads or other inflatable gear. Packs light and small, no batteries required. Would probably work to inflate a pack raft, but definitely a great way to save some breath when making camp at the end of the day. My first reaction when someone here on Trailspace posted a link to The Instaflator was to laugh. Then I got to thinking about the advantages of not having to blow up my sleep pad manually and the idea didn't seem so silly. I ordered two… Full review
