Klymit Static V Luxe

rated 4.5 of 5 stars I'm hooked...they got me. They got me....hook line and sinker! So, many of you read and rated my review of the standard Static V.  I saw this and couldn't resist the temptation. I bought into the Luxe version because it has all the same functional features of the standard—but with more size and loft.  Common points—The V baffled design really DOES help retain body heat. The fabric is durable and has never failed me. The twin valves on this pad are identical to the single, durable push-pull… Full review

Coleman Rest Easy Pad

rated 4 of 5 stars Not as bad as some reviews make it out to be. Just bought a Coleman Easy-Rest blue foam pad. It was $4 at Runnings, when I went back a couple weeks later to get it, it was $9.99. It measures at 71.5"x24"x3/8", 11.5 oz. without packaging (claimed wt. of 8 oz.). Tried it on a very cold concrete garage floor (18°F). It has noticeable R-value (more than expected :-), and no real hard spots, even on my side, I'm 180 lbs. It rolls down to 5 3/4" diameter (non compressed). It cuts 2 lbs off of my current self-inflating… Full review

Therm-a-Rest Men's NeoAir XLite

rated 5 of 5 stars Best sleeping pad for the weight with incredible warmth. Very comfortable. My wife and I own two NeoAir XLites and have used them for four seasons now. Both were purchased used from eBay and both have functioned exceptionally. It's quick to set up, taking 2-3 minutes to inflate. Comfort is superb, like being an actual mattress. Does a great job of keeping me warm even on cold nights. I'm somewhat paranoid about punctures and have been very careful with it. That being said, it has performed without… Full review

Sea to Summit Comfort Plus Insulated Mat

rated 4.5 of 5 stars The Comfort Plus Insulated mat carries a thoughtful, durable design that focuses on delivering the plushest night's sleep. If you're not focused on ultralight backpacking and looking for the most comfortable, three-season sleeping mat, this is the perfect choice. Ease of Use: Most inflatable sleeping mats are not difficult to use, but this sleeping mat contains inflation valves that are highly intuitive. It doesn't take much time to fill, and the nifty deflation valves release all the air in a second… Full review

Therm-a-Rest BaseCamp

rated 5 of 5 stars Great sleeping pad for all weather. I'm 6'3" and it's long enough to keep my feet off the ground and warm in cold weather. I've used these for years. They hold up well and have not let me down.  They are a little bulky but worth it for the sleeping comfort factor. Full review

REI AirRail 1.5 Self-Inflating Pad

rated 5 of 5 stars We've owned these for about five years now and would do it all over again. With just a few puffs of air, my REI AirRail 1.5 Self-Inflating Pads (tall version to accommodate the 6'4" husband) have been a dream to use when canoeing/portaging in the BWCA, hiking/backpacking, or even in our hunting cabin in WI in November. These have an insulation factor of R4, so they keep us quite toasty. They self-inflate about 90% before needing a little help to fill the air rails. Love the air rails, they keep… Full review

NEMO Tensor Insulated 25

rated 4 of 5 stars Very comfortable for sleepers who roll or side sleep, and super lightweight and compact. So I have had the Tensor for a month now and had it out a variety of times in mostly colder temperature weather.  Features that I find work very well are the textured design or lack thereof. The mostly flat surface with dimples removes low or dipping points in the pad and creates a consistent feel under you. I felt well supported no matter what sleeping position I was in. The 25" version was a deal maker for… Full review

Exped DownMat 9

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Hot stuff in cold weather. I am a small framed person (5'4", 140 lbs) and run cold. This mat is the only way to sleep if you run cold. I'm not using this for Everest like most users. I use it for temps just above freezing. Which is ridiculous. But if that's what you need, look no further.  Only downside is it's very narrow, so your elbows will be off the mat. Solution? A bag with enough down to coat a flock of geese. But other than that, if you have to pack for cold, don't go with synthetics for… Full review

Therm-a-Rest LuxuryLite Mesh Cot

rated 5 of 5 stars A great product for those with bad backs. Even with a 4-inch thick luxury pad, I just can't sleep on the ground anymore, and hammocks gave me mixed back pain results. The LuxuryLite Cot (XL) has proven to be very comfortable for me. The bows get easier to put in/take out over time. I'm enjoying camping again so much more! I've been using the Therm-a-Rest LuxuryLite XL for several months now, and I find it very comfortable. I'm in my 50's, and have simply had too many back injuries to sleep comfortably… Full review
