Klymit Insulated Static V Lite

rated 4 of 5 stars Great budget, inflatable sleeping pad. Overall it is a decent sleeping pad and I would recommend it to anyone. Very durable, I've been using this pad already more than two years and never had an issue with it. Also it comes with a patch kit, but I never used it. Why I may change this pad Noisy, uncomfortable at night unless you sleep alone. I'm searching for more quiet materials but didn't found any so far. Even more high priced like Therm-a-Rest or Sea to Summit pads have similar issues It is… Full review

Klymit Static V

rated 4 of 5 stars Light, durable, and pretty comfy. I've used this on several backpacking trips and love the compact size and light weight. It inflates fully in 10 to 12 breaths and is firm enough that I can lie on my side and not punch through to the ground. There is no insulation inside, so for cooler trips this may be a bit cold for some, but for most summer trips it should be fine. The sleeping surface is slick so it's easy to slide off of, or down the pad, and while the concept is nice, the side rails don't… Full review

Therm-a-Rest NeoAir

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Best ultralight night of sleep, especially in the cold, also doubles as a fun raft! This pad is an all-around winner, providing excellent support for a side sleeper like myself. I've heard others complain about the noisiness of the lightweight material, but between the floor of the tent, my sleeping bag, pillow and the rush of the wilderness, it's not distinguishable to me. Another issue that may arise is the extra few minutes of inflating, but with a pump sack, it only takes two and a half pumps. Full review

ALPS Mountaineering Featherlite Air Pad

rated 5 of 5 stars Comfortable for back or side sleeping, nice and light, super easy to inflate, and no headaches from blowing into the valve! What more can you ask for? This mattress is light (under 21oz), comfortable (3.5" thickness!), and inflates easily with the built-in CPR-style pump (65-75sec to inflate). I've slept a couple dozen nights on this, and I wouldn't go afield without it in the warmer months. It's no good for cold weather due to a lack of insulation, but for warmer temps, it's the best camp mattress… Full review

Exped SynMat Hyperlite

rated 5 of 5 stars Equal and improved compared to Therm-a-Rest NeoAir Light. Rolls up tight and small. And most importantly, it doesn't bottom out on you like on most air pads. Well well well. I purchased one of the best air pads for half the cost of a Therm-a-Rest and could have not been more pleased with this product. Very rarely do I find a pad that doesn't bottom out, so I was surprised to find this. This pad is equal to the Therm-a-Rest with the bones of being half the cost and having the option of using the… Full review

Exped Schnozzel

rated 5 of 5 stars OMG. What a crazy thing this is. While your friends are huffing and puffing to get their air pads blown up, you have been sitting on your air pad since their fifth breath because of the Schnozzel. Fill this tough bag up with air and squeeze it into the air pad. Two times and you are done. And you can use it as a stuff sack following the hike rule of multiple-use items. While your friends are almost dead from blowing up their air pads, you have used the Schnozzel two times and filled up your air… Full review

Mammut Alpine Mat UL

rated 5 of 5 stars Great lightweight alternative to Therm-a-Rest!! Have been looking for a lightweight closed cell pad that would give me some extra padding, especially if my inflatable pad failed. My sleep system has been constantly refined over last two years. The Nemo Insulated Tensor is by far the most comfortable, warmest, and best weight advantage in an inflatable pad for me. As a light, cold sleeper, the crinkly noise with Therm-a-Rest simply did not work for me and I've tried literally about a dozen from Exped,… Full review

Exped DownMat UL 7

rated 4 of 5 stars Small package, good results. A good mat for an occasional overnight. Got this new Exped mat at a local outdoor center, pretty good deal on it as they were moving out older inventory. First time to use it, couldn't get the included air pump to work properly. Maybe it was me, but I reckon I'm smart enough to figure out how to use an air pump.   Ended up using mouth-to-valve inflation method. If I had been hiking all day, I would have thrown this thing in the woods at this point. But, once I got it… Full review

Klymit Static V2

rated 2 of 5 stars Very disappointed. I used this once and returned it. We were car camping, because I know better than to backpack with new sleeping gear. The temps dropped and we woke to frost and ice—had to be in the 20s unexpectedly (forecast said something else entirely). I had to get in the car in the middle of the night. As a quilt user I found that cold air just goes right in the channels underneath me. The second night I borrowed a fleece blanket and it helped but the deep channels were just a tad too uncomfortable,… Full review
