Sea to Summit Comfort Plus Insulated Mat

rated 4.5 of 5 stars The Comfort Plus Insulated mat carries a thoughtful, durable design that focuses on delivering the plushest night's sleep. If you're not focused on ultralight backpacking and looking for the most comfortable, three-season sleeping mat, this is the perfect choice. Ease of Use: Most inflatable sleeping mats are not difficult to use, but this sleeping mat contains inflation valves that are highly intuitive. It doesn't take much time to fill, and the nifty deflation valves release all the air in a second… Full review

Therm-a-Rest BaseCamp

rated 5 of 5 stars Great sleeping pad for all weather. I'm 6'3" and it's long enough to keep my feet off the ground and warm in cold weather. I've used these for years. They hold up well and have not let me down.  They are a little bulky but worth it for the sleeping comfort factor. Full review

REI AirRail 1.5 Self-Inflating Pad

rated 5 of 5 stars We've owned these for about five years now and would do it all over again. With just a few puffs of air, my REI AirRail 1.5 Self-Inflating Pads (tall version to accommodate the 6'4" husband) have been a dream to use when canoeing/portaging in the BWCA, hiking/backpacking, or even in our hunting cabin in WI in November. These have an insulation factor of R4, so they keep us quite toasty. They self-inflate about 90% before needing a little help to fill the air rails. Love the air rails, they keep… Full review

NEMO Tensor Insulated 25

rated 4 of 5 stars Very comfortable for sleepers who roll or side sleep, and super lightweight and compact. So I have had the Tensor for a month now and had it out a variety of times in mostly colder temperature weather.  Features that I find work very well are the textured design or lack thereof. The mostly flat surface with dimples removes low or dipping points in the pad and creates a consistent feel under you. I felt well supported no matter what sleeping position I was in. The 25" version was a deal maker for… Full review

Exped DownMat 9

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Hot stuff in cold weather. I am a small framed person (5'4", 140 lbs) and run cold. This mat is the only way to sleep if you run cold. I'm not using this for Everest like most users. I use it for temps just above freezing. Which is ridiculous. But if that's what you need, look no further.  Only downside is it's very narrow, so your elbows will be off the mat. Solution? A bag with enough down to coat a flock of geese. But other than that, if you have to pack for cold, don't go with synthetics for… Full review

Therm-a-Rest LuxuryLite Mesh Cot

rated 5 of 5 stars A great product for those with bad backs. Even with a 4-inch thick luxury pad, I just can't sleep on the ground anymore, and hammocks gave me mixed back pain results. The LuxuryLite Cot (XL) has proven to be very comfortable for me. The bows get easier to put in/take out over time. I'm enjoying camping again so much more! I've been using the Therm-a-Rest LuxuryLite XL for several months now, and I find it very comfortable. I'm in my 50's, and have simply had too many back injuries to sleep comfortably… Full review

Therm-a-Rest RidgeRest Solar

rated 5 of 5 stars I would highly recommend this sleeping pad! If you are looking for a sleeping pad used during winter camping, look no further. I am typically a very cold sleeper when I am winter camping. After many nights out using supposedly warm sleeping pads, I finally purchased the RidgeRest. I have not had a cold night since. I have not felt the cold ground beneath me at all, and in fact, the pad seemed to actually be warm (the closed-cell technology, reflective layer, etc.).  I have used this pad many times… Full review

Exped MegaMat 10 LXW

rated 4.5 of 5 stars The Exped MegaMat 10 LXW is the most comfortable sleeping pad in my collection. Due to its size and weight when deflated it would only be a choice for car camping. I have a collection of sleeping pads and this is my favorite one!  The Exped MegaMat 10 LXW is very easy to set up. Once the tent is set up, just unpack the MegaMat  and open the dedicated inflate valve to let it begin the self-inflate process.  This may take 15-30 minutes, so you can continue with your camp setup and return later… Full review

Therm-a-Rest NeoAir All Season

rated 5 of 5 stars Excellent, comfortable all-season pad. I bought my NeoAir several years when they first came out, enjoying the extra comfort it gave me on the ground vs the Therm-a-Rest pad I had from the 1980s. A year later, I got a Big Agnes bag with mattress pouch and inserted it. It worked perfectly, was warm and was not noisy. It weighed a little less than the pad Big Agnes sells and stuffs easier. I left it and the inflatable pillow in the sleeping bag when stuffed into its sack and all worked well. I just… Full review
