Dragon Heatwear Wyvern 3 Zone Heated Jacket

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Love the feel of the jacket. The battery lasts a good amount of time and definitely keeps me warm. I definitely recommend it. If you get cold, this heated jacket is a good one to get. Fit is good. Definitely check the sizing guide before buying. I got it right from their store. And they shipped pretty quickly. Got it in four days.  It can be a bit tight around the waist at times. Has adjustable velcro cuffs which is nice.  It is wind and water resistant. Holds up well in the rain.  It definitely… Full review

Rab Men's Vapour-Rise Guide Jacket

rated 4.5 of 5 stars If you need a winter soft-shell and weight isn't an issue, this is the one. Purchased my first one last Autumn (2016) in size XL and in the striking Red colour. Rab states this jacket is a "Regular fit." I ordered my usual XL size, which for me (who's of rugby player build) is a tad long over my arms and a bit snug around my bulky torso. However. The jacket's length does give some additional protection below the waist and means that it won't ride up as easily when i'm reaching up or stretching. Full review

Outdoor Research Men's Whirlwind Hoody

rated 4.5 of 5 stars If a softshell and wind jacket mated this would be their offspring—a well-constructed piece that excels in certain conditions. I'd been looking for an in-between piece that would cut the chill from the wind but still have some breathability on the trail when a fleece would be overkill. As an Outdoor Research fan I jumped at the Whirlwind Hoody when it was offered on their site for 50% off despite not seeing a lot of info on it. Big score. It's usually the first thing I pull from my pack and I… Full review

Mountain Hardwear Dragon Hooded Jacket

rated 3.5 of 5 stars Not as waterproof as it should be. I'm a big fan of Mountain Hardwear products having bought many of their jackets and pants in the last 10 years or more. Most of their products I must say I have bought for wet weather protection rather than skiing, including Conduit Silk and DryQ Elite products. I bought the Dragon Hooded Jacket expecting to get a jacket like the Epic series of jackets, but with more features. I've loved the Epic jackets and have owned a few and although they may not have been… Full review

Toad&Co Aerium Shirtjac

rated 4 of 5 stars Four-way stretch makes this a versatile fall/winter jacket. On the trail or out to dinner, the jacket looks good and keeps you warm. I received the Toad&Co. Aerium Shirtjac in late September just in time for fall and winter hiking. My dark chestnut colored Shirtjac came in medium and fit my frame well. Constructed of 100% stretch nylon and filled with a coiled polyester insulation it has the styling of a shirt with the warmth of a jacket. The Shirtjac features a snap front closure, two side… Full review

Marmot Men's ROM Jacket

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Superbly breathable, wind proof, versatile softshell. My go-to layer from fall to spring. At 5'10" 200 lbs, a large fits me pretty well, with room for a fleece or thin puffy underneath. I use it day to day for over half the year, either by itself ~10°C or with a light insulating and base layer down to -10°C when I am active (ex. snowshoeing, hiking, ice climbing). Arms could be longer for climbing, although I have a +2.5" ape so take that with a grain of salt. Also, to stow the extra cord when… Full review

Marmot Men's Sharp Point Jacket

rated 3 of 5 stars Expensive! Durable as it lasted a few years and still good. Windproof but water resistant. Fleece backing means that it's not insulated, but provides a little warmth combined with the windproofness. Wear through cool autumn temps but not winter as it's not insulated. Tight fit esp. in arms/shoulders/chest so need to size up for layering. Bought an older version from years ago and it still fits. Appears that Marmot is finally retiring this jacket. It's windproof and water resistant. It can be worn… Full review

EMS Men's Epic Soft Shell Jacket

rated 4 of 5 stars Hiking/outdoor activities. I would recommend it to/for anyone looking for a lightweight breathable/wicking/ mist proof layer of protection. Best use for outdoors/hiking. Great flex and fit. I am 6'1" 200 lbs and got the large. Great fit with just enough room for a base layer without felling restricted. Not "waterproof" but mist proof and dries fast and wicks very well. Full review

Black Diamond Men's Dawn Patrol Jacket

rated 5 of 5 stars Lightweight, bomb proof, very comfortable. Good pockets with good placement and zippers. Clever inside pocket for iPhone or small water bladder. Hood closes nicely over hat and helmet. Design makes for comfort in wet and cold exposures. It's a bit pricy, but well worth it as it's very functional and comfortable with several inner layers. Easy to use with ropes and ice axes as the fit is very comfortable. Full review
