User Review: Solo Stove

Rating: rated 1 of 5 stars
Source: I used the original version

Summary

A complete rip off of the Bushbuddy.

I have a Bushbuddy Ultra, and it is my go-to stove for solo hiking when I know that wood will be readily available. I love my stove.

However, the Solo Stove is a ripoff of the Bushbuddy, and Spencer Jan of Snohomish, Wash., is the guy who is copying the exact design of the Bushbuddy. The original designer is Fritz Handel of Canada.

A more in-depth discussion of this can be found at backpackinglight.com and searching for thread number 60260 in the search box.

Comments

Sorry, but this doesn't even qualify as a product review. Also, if it's "copying the exact design of the Bushbuddy," then how'd they manage to build the thing using significantly less spot welds (also known as weak points)? We're talking 20+ vs 200+. I don't even own either of these products and I can recognize the blatant fanboyism going on here.
