Xero Shoes Z-Trail Sandals

rated 2 of 5 stars I tried these on a couple of hikes, for use as a camp shoe, for swimming and creek crossing, etc. But I soon gave up on them, not just due to the poor sole protection and the lateral movement that were cited, but also due to dirt and gravel quickly getting into the sandals (drier conditions) and water (wetter conditions). The lightweight simply wasn't worth it to me. I recommend something sturdier unless you have ideal trail conditions and feet that can handle the stress. Added: Try "Gold Pigeon"… Full review

Chaco Men's Z/1 Classic

rated 4.5 of 5 stars These sandals will keep you comfortable all day long. They are sturdy, have good traction, and will hold up no matter what you put them through. These are one of the best sandals you can buy. I have gone on numerous float trips and even a 5-mile hike in the mountains in them and they have held up. They have pretty good traction so you can hike fairly well in them. I also never have gotten any blisters in them. One downside is that when walking in water they tend to get pea gravel stuck between the… Full review

Xero Shoes Z-Trail Sandals

rated 4 of 5 stars Xero’s Z-Trail is a minimalist sandal in a number of ways. The sole and midsole together are less than a centimeter thick, with no thick heel or arch support. They secure your feet with a hook and loop heel strap and a continuous polyester strap that you pull to tighten. They are unexpectedly good at protecting the soles of your feet for such a light and flexible sandal, and traction is very good to excellent. Lateral support is an issue, though, and you can definitely feel roots and sharp rocks… Full review

Chaco Men's Z/Cloud 2

rated 4 of 5 stars A meaningful upgrade over Chaco's Z/2 classic sandal. The Z/Cloud 2's topsole and midsole are softer and more forgiving than previous versions. Chaco's new-ish proprietary sole is grippy on wet boat surfaces and rocks. The straps and adjustability are about the same as previous versions, but don't undersell the ability to adjust them and not worry about river grime fouling the closure. I have been wearing Chacos for about ten years, but I will try to start from zero and explain what these water… Full review

OOFOS OOahh Sport Slide Sandal

rated 5 of 5 stars Perfect camp and backpacking sandal! Lightweight, extremely comfortable, easy to get on and off and packable. One-piece design means fewer potential failure spots, and the tread won't peel off. Absolutely recommended. As members of another website, my husband and I occasionally get products to test from time to time in exchange for a review. On a trip to Joshua Tree National Park we had the opportunity to test some Oofos, and they were awesome! I'll admit without shame that when I pulled them out… Full review

Keen Men's Clearwater CNX

rated 5 of 5 stars Very comfortable both in and out of the water, solid design. I've been really pleased with these—super comfortable, good traction, solid design. Not sure exactly how long I've had them, which is a testimony to their durability! I wear them whenever it is hot enough out, and they work great. Tried them at the lake for both kayaking and canoeing, and they are the best water/ crossover trail shoes I've owned. Highly recommended! Full review

Mion Women's Ebb Tide Slide

rated 5 of 5 stars Please bring this style back. I want them. I have owned four pairs and need to replace. Full review

OOFOS OOahh Sport Slide Sandal

rated 5 of 5 stars These sport recovery sandals work great after a long day on the trail or just lounging around at the pool or beach. Excellent support and cushioning. After a long day on the trail or at work nothing beats slipping on a pair of OOFOS OOahh Sport Slide sandals. OOahh, is the sound made when I slip my feet into these sport recovery sandals. Between the support of the integrated footbed and the cushion arch support your feet will start to thank you immediately. OOFOS claims that the OOfoam absorbs 37%… Full review

Mion Men's Ebb Tide Slide

rated 5 of 5 stars I love the shoes, comfortable, saves my toes. People stop me and ask for them Please bring them back. Shoes are perfect. My podiatrist says they are great. Well made, wear anywhere in rain doing yard work. I would give up all other shoes for another pair. Full review
