Fully taped seams, 20K-rated fabric, Lycra cuffs ... yup, the Spyder Avenger Jacket's set for the season.

- Backcountry.com

It's tough to over-embellish something as well designed as Spyder's Avenger Jacket. That's probably why Spyder--this same company that designs official jackets for Team USA and other international ski teams--made this particular ski jacket the flagship of their entire Men's Quest collection. This durable, fully waterproof and breathable jacket is loaded with ski features, including a removable heavy weather hood that neatly tucks into the back storage pocket when not in use. The optional powder skirt zips outs and features a special Lycra panel for added stretch. Beneath the sleeves you'll find waterproof ventilation zippers that open for convenient cooling on warmer days. Inside you'll find a mesh goggle pocket and a custom chamois lens wipe attached to a retractable shock cord. We like how Spyder used a higher grade Thinsulate Supreme synthetic insulation along the sleeves for great warmth-to-weight, but reduced the overall weight (by 20 grams compared to the Spyder Leader and Titan Jackets) for better performance. If you want the best this ski season, the Avenger isn't another laundry list of marketing department superlatives--it's the real thing in full weatherproof protection and alpine functionality.
