Jetboil Utensil Kit

rated 5 of 5 stars Great product. I'm so glad I got this and did not rely on the other set I got [To-Go-Ware Repeat Bamboo utensils]. Those were such a failure that I ate with the JetBoil items and was glad I did! These are lightweight, collapsible, packable. Sturdy. Easy wash. They do slip apart a wee bit too easily. I thought I lost the handle of the spatula as it came apart, but I found it in bottom of bag. Loved the spatula. I don't have JetBoil pans, but another tall pot, and this worked perfectly to reach and… Full review

To-Go Ware RePEaT Utensil Set

rated 2 of 5 stars OK, but will replace with something else. I thought this would be great for two uses: camping and my work [a prison] where I can't bring in metal items. Smooth, well manufactured items from bamboo. Chopsticks are included. I don't use them to eat, but great for stirring, poking food items during prep. Fork tines are stubby and don't really stab food items. You have to "scoop" the food. Spoon is OK, but bowl shape is shallow and round, not oval, and does not scrape food from corners of a cup, pan… Full review

MSR MicroRocket

rated 5 of 5 stars MSR MicroRocket is simply the best lightweight stove bar none! I have had this stove for over one year and it lives in my trout fishing bag, not the best of places to be but out it comes 3 or 4 times a day and performs faultlessly every time. It is just so easy to set up and rapid boil or gentle simmer it does with tweak of the key control. Most day trips it is just tea and a dish of 2 minute noodles, but longer wilderness trips it does all meals too. I have made a aluminum foil wind break which… Full review

MSR PocketRocket

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Light, compact, efficient cooking solution. Both the stove and the fuel are fairly inexpensive and widely available. Super easy setup (literally just screwing the burner to the canister), easy ignition with a match or lighter. Burner is adjustable, my wife and bought two of these and we've only used them to boil water. The cooking surface is limited, so only the smallest of pans/pots would balance on the supports. Level ground is a necessity. This stove really shines when it comes time to pack it… Full review

MSR PocketRocket

rated 5 of 5 stars This lighweight stove is perfect for backpacking, camping, fishing or any outdoor activity. It boils water in a matter of minutes, is quick to set up and the fuel is cheap. The most costly part of this unit is the burner attachment itself which is made of good quality stainless steel; the fuel can only cost $5. It comes in a durable, nearly water-tight plastic case that it folds into making it easy to stuff in a pack. The fuel can itself has a neat little description of how to tell how much fuel… Full review

Hamhock Outdoor Gear Feed Bag

rated 5 of 5 stars This product has me super stoked. Not only does it keep your hands from getting burned while cooking backpacking food, but it keeps the food warm until the very last bite! Self supported gussetted bottom allows you to get your food cooked while setting up the tent and then sit down to a warm meal at the end of a hard day's backpacking. Easy to use, clean and also good as a wind break while you boil the water. (Please note this reviewer has a personal relationship with the owner but this item was… Full review

MSR MicroRocket

rated 5 of 5 stars I'd love to tell you something bad about this stove, but I can't. This spring/summer I have been using the Micro Rocket as my go-to stove in an effort to lighten my gear load.  Several companies make a stove like this and I chose the MSR because I have experience with the brand.  I have used this stove in temps from 35° to 95°F and in elevations up to about 5,000 feet.  Setup Fold out the legs, screw it to your gas canister, and light it.  Simple and easy. Boil times I didn't time them, but… Full review

MSR WhisperLite Universal

rated 5 of 5 stars Portable, easy setup, and versatile. Multiple fuel capabilities gives this the edge over compatible stoves. Love this stove. I can use canister fuel or liquid (Coleman fuel). I haven't tried to use gasoline or kerosene. Easily fits into a Maxpedition or Condor water bottle bag with a GSI cup/pot set. Full review

Sterno Folding Stove

rated 3.5 of 5 stars A real back pack-able solution to your food cooking problems. A simple folding design that folds flat for easy carrying. Stove will hold a heavy pot. Front door and sides protect flames from wind. Burns Sterno, other canned heat or chaffing fuel. Low cost camping stove for the beginner. WHATEVER HAPPENED TO THE GOOD OLE' FASHIONED STERNO STOVE???It's crude and not perfect, but its definitely "good enough" for a budget conscious camper or weekend hiker. I don't think the size or style is any different… Full review
