I purchased this mat to replace my former Cabela's King (self inflater) which "sprang a leak" during our camping trip to Wolf Run State Park this past Fourth of July weekend. After researching various self-inflating mats from different manufacturers, I decided to give SunnyRec a try. They make the Hexagrip Mat, which has "raised" hexagons on the sleeping surface, which proved to be very comfortable on this past weekend's camping trip at Nimisila Campground.

Some of the features I liked about the Hexagrip Mat were the nonslip surface, which unlike some of the other mats I owned, actually kept my sleeping bag in place without the usual "slipping and sliding" I experienced with other mats. The raised hexagons worked wonders on my back, which suffered injuries from a car accident I had back in October.

All I can say this is one of the most comfortable mats I ever used. It offers a firm sleeping surface unlike my former Therm A Rest LE, which I personally found to be too soft for my liking. I really appreciate a firm mat. Inflation is quick. Just simply open the valve and presto! The mat is inflating in seconds. A couple of puffs ensures the perfect firmness.

Last but not least, I found ordering from SunnyRec to be a real pleasure. The company owner David Su was very nice to do business with. Kudos to Mr. Su! Plus all his mats are made here in the good old USA, unlike his competitors! All in all, I think I found the perfect self inflater!
