These boots were not outrageously comfortable walking around the store. For whatever reason though I bought them and have been very satisfied so far. They don't breathe quite as well as leather boots, but they're very weather worthy. After walking around in the rain for a while they have come to fit like a sturdy pair of sneakers. I think I bought them intrigued by their innovation. Fortunately, the new materials and design have proven to indeed be innnovative. Without very oddly shaped feet, I think many would find these to be a nice pair of boots–despite their less than classy look.
