Rossignol SOUL 7

rated 5 of 5 stars Does nearly everything brilliantly. There was a time when I took three pairs of skis with me to the mountains: piste, powder, and touring skis. Each was ideal for their niches, and I really couldn't imagine a day when one ski could do all three. Although I have tested far from every type of ski, the Soul 7 just nails it for me. A terrific carving ski, even/especially on boilerplate pistes, just a dream in powder, crud, breakable crust, and good for touring. If it fails to fit the 'one size fits… Full review

Black Diamond Compactor Poles

rated 5 of 5 stars Awesome product fo sho! When your trail is slippery, rocky, unstable or challenging in any way, bust out these poles for sure footing. Also, if you have pain in knees/ankles from impact on the trail, these will offer much needed relief to keep you going. Full review

Bern Baker

rated 4 of 5 stars The Original Bern Visor Lid. Baker Hard hat used for all seasons mainly safety gear used for skiing and snowboarding. Designed for non-motorized action sports. Comes in many colors with visor. HAPPY TRAILS...It gets slippery out on those trails so use protection and wear a helmet! The shell or outer layer of the helmet, is a rigid surface and protects the head from sharp objects, knocks and abrasions. Works well with any goggles, the plastic handle lifts up and keeps the elastic on your goggles… Full review

Black Diamond Convert Ski

rated 5 of 5 stars Go anywhere, do anything ski comfortable in the backcountry as well as on the groomers. A one quiver ski that is capable of taking you anywhere within your ability level. The Black Diamond Convert skis are the Jeep of touring skis. They are comfortable anywhere in any conditions. I have ridden them on fresh powder, breakable crust, icy New England resort trails, and freshly groomed corduroy runs and enjoyed every turn. Front Country Their performance in the front country, on groomed resort trails,… Full review

MSR Deploy TR-3

rated 4 of 5 stars MSR has consistently made rock solid products, and this is no exception. The overall design may become the industry standard. The pole never slipped in height adjustment. The aircraft grade aluminum offered consistent stability. The pole offers a simple way to adjust height without fussing with clips, locks, and twists. The no catch triangular basket, solid construction, and ease of use will make these my go-to poles for my winter hiking and snowshoeing. The TR-3 at first blush to me while attractive,… Full review

Dynastar Cham 97

rated 5 of 5 stars This is a spectacular ski. I bought a pair in the spring of 2013 for our trip out to Telluride and Silverton. It holds an edge on the groomers, is nimble in the bumps, and held its own on the steeps in the deep powder at Silverton. These skis transformed my skiing, and I would heartily recommend them to skiers who want an all-mountain ski. Full review

POC Receptor Bug Adjustable Helmet

rated 3 of 5 stars Keeps your head safe, but seems to lack a few pieces that could make it better. Overall it's a solid helmet that does what it's designed to do, that being keep me safe. However it seems to lack the extras which could be expected from a helmet in its normal price range. The ear flaps don't sit snug on my ears and in order to get them even close I have to have the chin strap uncomfortably tight, this makes it so even on the warmest days I still have to wear a buff over my ears. That's the main drawback… Full review

K2 Shuksan

rated 3.5 of 5 stars Nice ski for the backcountry. I like this ski; it's pretty light and does a fair job to break up crust. It does float, but it's not a real fat ski, only 119, but it's pretty quick. You do have to stay on top of them. I think if you look hard enough you can find a bargain out there. Mine are tricked out for Tele and they are just fine. You can't go wrong for money; check out EVOoutlet or GEARx. Full review

Bern Muse

rated 5 of 5 stars Works very well from early season to late season. Everything I want in a helmet. Fits me great, even though I'm a boy :) Full review
