Tentsile X3 Giant Pegs

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Tentsile's Giant Pegs are a quick and easy solution to placing stakes in hard soil when a rock or hammer is not readily available. This reviewer found these pegs so handy, he is left wondering why screw-in tent stakes are not more common. Recently, I tested and reviewed the Tentsile Flite for Trailspace. While I did not care much for that product, I did find the stakes that came with it to be superior to the cheap J-stakes that normally come with a tent or tarp. In fact, I felt these X3 Giant… Full review

Nite Ize Figure 9 Tent Line Kit

rated 4 of 5 stars Makes setup for tent or in my case for my tarp/rain fly for my hammock. The reflective ridgeline is a plus. I bought this after my son highly recommend it. He uses his on his ENO tarp. The reflective ridgeline works great in the dark. I'm able to set up faster and easier than tying knots. After using them on a few trips I planning to buy some for my tent. I highly recommend this product to save time and it makes setting up in the dark easier as well. Full review

Lawson Equipment Reflective Glowire

rated 5 of 5 stars This guy line has all the qualities you want: strong, ultra lightweight, highly reflective to prevent tripping over it at night, little to no stretch, holds adjustable knots like a taut line hitch well, low tangle factor, UV resistant, and made in the USA by a cottage gear manufacturer. This is the best guy line I’ve ever used. It has all the qualities you want in a guy line: strong, ultra lightweight, highly reflective to prevent tripping over it at night, little to no stretch, holds adjustable… Full review

Toughstake Large Toughstake

rated 0.5 of 5 stars Sucks. All awful. Never waste the money. Full review

Vargo Titanium Ascent Tent Stake

rated 2 of 5 stars Titanium tent stakes. Not good for high winds. Purchased these tent stakes for my boyfriend for Christmas. I was excited to get them in Titanium. First use was great! However, we set up the tents in the yard to air them out and it was slightly windy. These stakes not only didn't stay in the ground, but they bent and twisted as well. Very disappointed in them and they were not cheap either. Full review

Toughstake Large Toughstake

rated 1 of 5 stars Does not work in dirt, way too expensive, waste of time and money. Takes way too long to put into the ground. I am an experienced camper and the Toughstake was just like any other stake that I have used. I blew my money on this thing and I hope that it stops you from making the same mistake that I did. I made a homemade bowl stake and it worked 100% better. Full review

Vargo Titanium Ascent Tent Stake

rated 1.5 of 5 stars These stakes bend easily. My girlfriend made last Christmas a titanium Christmas. One of the presents I received were Vargo Titanium Ascent tent stakes. I was delighted to find them in my stocking and I was amazed at how light they were. Unfortunately my first experience using them was in moderately high winds for east Texas and my tent collapsed due to the stake bending. I easily straightened it out and continued using the stake for the remainder of my trip, but I have gone back to the aluminum… Full review

Atak Outdoor Lighted Tent Stakes

rated 3.5 of 5 stars Okay, I admit...lighted tent stakes are a bit silly. But for those of us who are nocturnally visually challenged, they are an easy technique to avoid tripping over tent lines, rocks, or stumps during dark hours. They also provide a nice little glowing ambiance to the tent site! I had seen lighted tent stakes in an outdoors magazine, and thought it was kind of a neat idea…but did not want to invest too much money, since I was not sure how much I would actually use them, nor how long they would… Full review

Black Diamond Ahwahnee Ground Cloth

rated 3.5 of 5 stars A nice, light, durable ground cloth. Sadly, I am too good at leaving these hanging to dry when I head down the road on my bike. :P Not much to say about a ground cloth. This is a good one, but a cheaper one will serve as well.  Full review
