User Review: Terramar EC2 Transport
Rating: ![]()
Source: bought it new
Price Paid: Don't remember but I bought tops/bottoms in midweight and EC2 Micro Light
Summary
This is a great base layer that lets moisture transport to the next layer. It does not retain odor and dries very quickly
Pros
- A smooth surface which allows the top layers, whether a light one or fleece, to easily pull on.
Cons
- It is cooler than a merino or caprilene base layer
I have used the EC2 base layers summer and winter since 1997. When the midlayer gets damp during the days activity (hike and climb in summer, XC ski and snowshoe in winter) I change into a dry midlayer and warm up without a clammy/wet layer next to the skin. In winter I use the Micro-Light layer over the base layer.
