Here's what other sites are saying:

From Backcountry Outlet:
"The North Face Women's Esker Ridge Mid is an excellent shoe for mid weight hikers. You'll have plenty of support for loads around 25 pounds with the 2/3 steel shank and lots of traction on the steepest trails with the TNF Trail Grip outsole. An AgION anti-microbial lining keeps the funk off your feet and a rubberized leather toecap will increase the life of that high abuse area. The Women's Esker Ridge Mid has a narrower heel cup to combat heel-lift problems and a softer flex for added comfort. *Not Available for Shipment to Canada."

From Massey's:

"I really like these trail shoes, comfy and solid at the same time. I enjoyed them right out of the box, slapped them on went on a 4 mile hike. My feet were happy but my soles wished I had worn better socks -- duh. I have since worn them for daily walks and a few dayhikes."
