Great Pack. Wore this pack on a three day hike through the Adirondacks. Carried about 45# in comfort. Excellent protection from the elements. It rained a whole day, and the contents on the main compartment remained dry. The rubberized coating appears durable and waterproof. The hood covers the top opening well.
Nice ventilated back pad, works great. Made of foam-rubber.
Three exterior neoprene pockets are easily accessible and are good for storing wet stuff.
Still skeptical about the durability of the proprietary skeletonized buckle on the hip belt, but so far it has worked fine.
Been a good pack. Recommended.

Excellent pack period. Comparable to Arc'teryx Bora and Naos at a better price point and a bit lighter, better materials and weight transfer than the Osprey Atmos...pleasantly surprised.
In a nutshell, the pack recently went up Rainier with me. 50+ pounds to Camp Muir and then light and tight to the Summit. Pockets and gear attachments were designed as if Mountaineering was also in mind.
I'll be putting it to more tests here soon and will provide updates as needed. For now, I'm very happy with the purchase.

If a backpack could intuit your every movement, the Primero 60 from The North Face would be the one to do it. With an X Radial suspension system that works on a pivoting aluminum frame to mimic the natural movement of the human body, this pack will move with you every step of the way while keeping you in comfort with its EVA foam back panel that shapes to fit your back.

Buying a pack that's deemed obsolete two months later is a bitter thing to experience. The North Face Primero 60 Backpack, however, is practically immune to outdatedness. Its sturdy foundation is The North Face's flexible X-Radial suspension, crossed 7075 aluminum stays that pivot with the twisting and bending of your body. The formable EVA foam back panel breathes deeply, cleans easily, and resists odor, and retains its shape through use and abuse. Durable, highly water-resistant shell fabric protects your gear from tough trail conditions, and The North Face gave this pack a waterproof bottom to block muck from seeping in when you set it down. A waterproof hood seals out light showers that try to soak your spirits and supplies.
The Primero 60 is a mid-capacity, state-of-the-art, multiday pack for the serious outdoor enthusiast.
