I used to have an old Coleman sqaure style sleeping bag before I really got into backpacking. After a few hard nights in Cranberry, West Virginia, I either thought backpacking was always this rough at night or it was my bag. Needless to say I put down on my birthday list a new sleeping bag and I got this one.

I was amazed by the difference. I tested it out at Slaty Fork (just a way from Snowshoe, W.V.) for the first time doing some fly fishing and I can't complain the least bit. The polar gaurd kept me warm and toasty in the lower 30s. The hood did well to keep my head and ears warm also, however, my face did get cold. That's not the bag's fault though so I rolled over and put my face in the hood and dozed right back to sleep. I have used this bag several more times in various temps and haven't had a single problem out of it.

I can't give this bag 5 stars, however, due to the fact that I haven't exactly tested the best on the market or tested this bag to the breaking limit. I do recommend this bag to anyone who is wanting a great bag that will keep them warm in some pretty cold weather without spending their retirement money. Good job North Face!
