Summary

First impressions look good. Much more testing is planned for the future.

Pros

  • Etched glass
  • Fits one can of Guinness perfectly
  • Looks good in black
  • Cool logo

The text from my wife read: A box came for you today, what did you buy now?  I innocently replied that I didn't remember anything but we could find out together when I got home. I was a little scared at the unibomber-esque writing on the box adressed to me sitting on the kitchen table but after I deciphered the name on the return address I excitedly opened the box.

Unboxing:

Innitial assessment showed flawless glass lovingly packed in a box stuffed with an entire issue of Outdoor Gear Retailer Monthly Magazine. I planned on reading one of the articles but an empty drinking glass needed my attention.

The first thing I noticed was the cool Trailspace logo on the glass etched into the side. This is really nicely done.  I knew it would set off the inky yumminess of my favorite brew nicely. Luckily I had recently put up a several week supply of Guinness (a four pack).

Use:

Food pairing: Walmart popcorn chicken. BTW, Guinness has less calories than skim milk or orange juice and contains more healthy antioxidants than red wine.

Looking good in black, a perfect fit. I think the Guinness sets off the logo nicely.

Pouring note: Keep the glass tilted until the Guinness reaches the lower middle of the boot tread on the etched logo.  Then continue to pour with the glass upright until the glass is full (like you would with a harp glass).

Hail Arthur!

Thanks again TS for the fun glass. In my home it's known as "Daddy's special glass."

I look forward to more testing. Like so many other things, it's not the gear that makes the trip but how you use it.

so much of my gear gets co-opted by my kids. my trailspace glass is usually in the dishwasher when i look for it. my kids like the size. i suggest testing with Stone Russian Imperial Stout or Great Lakes Edmund Fitzgerald Porter.

I hope the pint glass offset any distress you might have experienced from my terrible handwriting! Great review!
